Yes, that would be great.
maybe i understand it wrong you want to play dr2 at the same of playing other games? is this correct?
I have a wired Controller. And i want to deactivating without remove it from the USB Slot.
When you use mouse or keyboard there is a couple second delay, then mouse and keyboard input works and controller stops working, unless you press a button on it then couple second delay while it swaps back over.
You can setup GPU passthrough correctly on a virtualmachine with another Windows/Game install and it will not conflict with your other gaming.
You could set an OS hotkey that maps to a PowerShell script running the Disable-PnpDevice cmdlet as admin. (I’m not going to tell you how to do it or where to get the Device ID needed.)
But this would disable the controller altogether, not make it unavailable for one game.
Otherwise, you could lower the controller sensitivity in-game and see if that does anything. There are a few other controller-specific settings in Options > Gameplay (and Audio) but they’re not as likely to be useful, probably.
Why do I have a feeling we’ve got someone using a bot that wants controller input disabled so they can bot with D2R while playing another game at the same time? Because you literally cannot play D2R and another game simultaneously. It isn’t like having Netflix on a second monitor.
I can leech runs fairly effectively while playing other games.
I also currently play runescape and world of warcraft while doing stuff on D2
Yeah, I’m totally sure the devs are going to cater to the leeching and/or botting crowd with this request.
“The controller input detection is making it hard to leech!” Well then, maybe don’t leech?
This thread’s popcorn bait.
If it’s possible it would be in config file search through those good luck
Have you ever been to a cs or a baal run? lol
Yes, specifically, I want to play FF4 PRM while playing D2R. Mouse in right hand, controller in left.
The problem is the controller inputs interfere with D2R.
Basically I want to deny D2R access to control inputs.
-e
Or controller inputs access to D2R.
-e2
For all the hate about leeching or w/e, I play single player D2R exclusively, I did play multiplayer for a brief time, but the character limit is such that its essentially unplayable for serious players.
I also play hearthstone while playing diablo 2 most of the time.
D2R is designed so under the right conditions you can play it one handed with a mouse.
Many games will take controller inputs even when not being the current focus window, this is esp handy for people who can multi task well enough to play more than one game at a time. It’s doubly great for people who work full time, but also want to play more than one game in their limited free time, and still make progress on all of them.
In anycase, no need to hate on people for leeching, or me for just being able to play 2 relatively simple AF games at once…
Peace and love.
I’ve been using a control pad to emulate to mouse and keyboard since I damaged both of my arms back in 2006.
The software I used for many years’ Pinnacle Games profiler, stopped working since it’s Creator died. After that I used steam input to emulate a mouse and keyboard.
As hard as it is to believe, I’ve gotten very used to using a mouse and keyboard setup from my control pad. I had to go to Great lengths to disable terraria’s forced control pad input so that I could use my mouse and keyboard setup for my control pad.
And I would like to continue using my mouse and keyboard setup, in other words with a cursor, in this game. So I would like to disable the forced control pad input, but still use my emulated mouse and keyboard input.
In my case, my girlfriend likes to play yuzu (switch emulator) on my second screen. Normally as I play escape from tarkov which doesn’t have controller support it is fine but with d2r we simply can’t play at the same time anymore. It’s really annoying, given building a second gaming pc is basically impossible atm.
He’s a “serious” player guys… totally. Here’s a red cape… now you can be SUPER SERIOUS!..
only valid excuse.
everyone else sounds like they are making an excuse to bot
1 person is talking about using a mouse keyboard on their controller… i couldnt understand what they were trying too say… so maybe they have a valid reason as well
the rest definitely bots
You think im joking or flexing, but anyone who plays diablo 2 for more than a year will realize that 20 chars is not enough.
20 Characters is way to many… even if you wanted to play every spec of every character… and nobody does, because some of them suck.
Clearly… oh wait, no don’t know anything about the multiple characters I’ve lost who had ALL the end game gear… all the anni’s all the uber killers, all the infinities/ enigmas/ griefs/ etc… and I just stopped logging in and letting them go poof.
The point, which you failed to realize, is that you don’t need to keep every single thing you find, as most items are TRASH. Any “real” good player would know what is and isn’t worth keeping, and what they need to hoard. Why would you keep all the garbage when you’re just going to boost your new toon to lvl 85+ and equip it anyways?
You keep the early game stuff for the grind to 25, then skip right to the end gear… and that applies to every character.
But you keep trying to rationalize your hoarding, I’m done trying to argue with you about it. The first step in getting help is admitting you have a problem, and you’re not ready yet.
