Is Feral Rage bugged?

I have Feral Rage at level 3. It says I should have 20% life steal at max charge. Should this means that I reach max charge level with 4 hits and max life steal at the 5th hit?
When I am at the max level 4 charged Feral Rage, I only have 16% life steal on my advance character page. Additional Feral Rage attacks won’t give more life steal.
Is this bug? or was it the same way as in D2?

Life leech on level 3 is 4-20%, which calculates as:

1 hit: 4%
2 hits: (20+4)/2= 12%
3 hits: 20%

It might not be shown on advanced character page … I will be testing Feral Rage at some stage, so keep posting if you know more.

Ok, my current testing:
Testing method: open the advanced character page and start to hit things with Feral Rage
On level 3:
each hit increase life leech by 4% and cap out at 16% at the 4th hit
On level 4:
each hit increase life leech by 4% and cap out at 20% at the 5th hit
On level 6 (boosted by skill shrine):
each hit increase life leech by 4% and cap out at 24% at the 6th hit

Ok, nice one, I guess you are expecting 32% at level 6. To be honest I will be using FR to boost my Walk/Run speed. Fury as primary and quick switch to Rabies on secondary after FR reaches 3 globes in effect.

Find myself a +1 to Feral rage hat. So the additional testing result

On level 3:
each hit increase life leech by 4% and cap out at 16% at the 4th hit

each hit increase life leech by 4% and cap out at 20% at the 5th hit
On level 5:
each hit increase life leech by 4% and cap out at 20% at the 5th hit
On level 6:
each hit increase life leech by 4% and cap out at 24% at the 6th hit
On level 7:
each hit increase life leech by 4% and cap out at 24% at the 6th hit

looked like it is capped at the max charge and each charge is 4% life leech.
The charge equation is [slvl/2] + 3
I am not sure if old D2 is the same thing or is D2R bugged

here is how it actually works
for each “swing” of feral rage that connects you upgrade your spinny change ball by 1
the max amount of charges you can have is determined by the skill level of feral rage

at lvl 1 you can have max 3
at lvl 2 you can have max 4
all odd levels starting at lvl 3 will NOT add a max charge despite what the skill indicates. every EVEN level will add one max charge ( starting at lvl 2)

the correct life leech value for each lvl can be seen on the advanced stats tab
if feral rage misses ( due to attack rating miss) you wont get your next spinny orb or refresh spinny orb duration) so when u read “swing” i mean the attack needs to hit

but for reference
it is:
skill lvl 1 → 12 life leech (3 feral swings to to reach max life leech )
skill lvl 2 → 16 life leech (4 swings to to reach max life leech)
skill lvl 3 → 16 life leech (4 swings to to reach max life leech)
skill lvl 4 → 20 life leech (5 swings to to reach max life leech)
skill lvl 5 → 20 life leech (5 swings to to reach max life leech)
skill lvl 6 → 24 life leech (6 swings to to reach max life leech)
skill lvl 7 → 24 life leech (6 swings to to reach max life leech)
skill lvl 8 → 28 life leech (7 swings to to reach max life leech)

etc… you get the idea… every 2 levels on even levels it adds one extra max change and said charge gives 4 extra life leech

So basically the stats that are shown on the skill description are totally wrong? and when you upgrade it on odd levels you don’t get any bonuses that stay passive for the 20 seconds buff
