Does it make much difference for Iron Golem what weapon base you make it out of? Like Cryptic Axe, Thresher, etc? Or is the damage number on the weapon the only thing that effects them, other than the properties of the weapon?
The golem has the exact stats of whatever you make it from, including damage, attack speed, +skills, durability, ed, etc etc. So yes it does matter what base you use.
Gotcha, so Thresher or Giant Thresher would be better for the attack speed is the big thing.
Look at the actual damage the golem does. It’s almost non-existent. The benefit of the IG is the thorns aura, and any runeword auras. That’s the reason I use fire and clay. Clay slows things and fire agro’s thing with its aura. The summoners damage comes from the merc making a body and CE. Realistically skelly damage is a thing for bosses and when your merc isn’t there.
Thanks for the recommendation on the mages. This feels like a better setup, though I did go from level 18 Concentration to level 16 which annoys me. I’ll be looking to upgrade that eventually.
But now at least I don’t feel like I’m relying on Revive targets for ranged damage, though it is noticeable how much less damage the mages do compared to Skeletons.
How can you calculate their damage btw with Concentration?
I’ve made quite a few maxroll builds. I can try to post one this weekend.
