You can create one out of a Insight runeword weapon and he will have it, but he does not recieve the effect from others.
This could be a design decision on account of the golem not needing mana, but that’s not all it does.
I have an a2 prayer merc with Insight and Cure ruenwords. Both of these auras gain healing as synergy with prayer, and this works with the A2 merc for essentially triple the normal effect of prayer. The golem DOES get the cleansing aura from Cure, so it should get the meditation aura as well since it doesn’t JUST give mana.
This is by design, units that don’t have mana (everything that isn’t a player) don’t have Mediation applied to them so they don’t get the life regen. Mercs, iron golems, summons, etc. Even when the merc is wielding Insight and visibly shows the Meditation aura he doesn’t benefit from the life regen.

But I’m pretty sure I’ve seen the VFX on other non-golem minions that couldn’t possibly posess the aura…
yes, they will receive the state, but the effects will not apply. game pulses the aura, does some internal check that is equivalent to seeing if the entity has mana, and if not then it ignores everything else.
