When an Iron Golem is made of Insight, the Meditation aura does not apply to the Merc.
I tested with a A2 Prayer merc, that heals +23 life every 2 seconds. With the Insight Iron Golem, stepping out of town, I could see the aura under player’s feet, but Merc does not gain the Meditation aura (not showing up on the merc). When I’m poisoned, the healing is still +23 life every 2 seconds, it is not being boosted by the aura.
I’m not sure if this is a bug or intended design. I’d like a confirmation please. Thanks.
meditation should show up on the merc, but it wont do anything. non-prayer regen auras need to have their supplier possess prayer (actively or passively) for it to gain additional life regen. the iron golem does not possess prayer, so iron golem’s meditation provides no additional health regen. since iron golem supplies the meditation, it uses iron golem’s stats, thus the prayer on the mercenary will not grant the iron golem’s meditation extra life regen to the mercenary either.
additionally, theres an undocumented mechanic, tho it’s not relevant to your situation. anything that does not possess mana (mercs and summons) will not gain the life regen from a meditation that would normally grant additional life regen, as the life regen only applies on successful meditation procs, which will always fail on mercs and summons since they do not have mana.
