To all those players who are hearing rings, ammys, jewels, etc drop - you aren’t crazy! The items are actually on the ground, just invisible. Spam pick up around the general area you believe that item to have dropped and you can pick them up. Wonder how many great items I’ve already missed out on? Thanks again Blizzard for your wonderful work on this masterpiece. NOT

There is a button that makes the item names persist on the screen.
You don’t need to search around like a blind mouse clicking for cheese.
So… yeah…
Yeah the button is explained on the help screen and in the options…
You have no idea what he is actually referring to, do you ?

And to OP, yeah, still hoping I’m imaging things, and/or that this would eventually be fixed if it’s a real thing. I prefer not to know. I’ll test your theory just to be sure next time it seems to happen though

Clearly, I already know that. There are instances of this happening for several people and more than a few threads made about sound fx but no items of the specific fx displayed on screen, even if holding a button for persist. It not a matter of pressing a button, the items are invisible altogether.

I will test that as well. I hope you are wrong as if you were right it means I missed tons of runes and amu/rings that might be a good drop.

So this whole thread is a duplicate of existing threads and you are bumping it on the console discussion section instead of the bug report section.

When you have no idea what the subject of the matter is, it is more civil to not answer useless stuff based on wrong assumption. If you wanted to be helpful (but I know you weren’t), asking a question is a better approach. 
Also, this is no duplicate as OP is providing a tip/theory to those thinking are victims of this bug.
If you are using words typed, you should try farming some gear with +reading comprehension on it.
A lot of times when ive heard the sounds and not seen the item it was because my merc ran off and killed someone off screen and I didn’t see him do it

I’m posting here in hopes others can replicate what I believe to be occurring. I’ve been able to do this twice. I’m pretty positive this is the case but if someone can prove me wrong go for it. You’re right, I could have provided more information in the first post and would certainly post into the bug section if this is something I can confirm with other players. This topic hasn’t been brought up in a while as people forget about or just thought they were imagining things so I’m trying to provide some updated information and a theory. But as far as trying relegate what’s relevant on this board I find that laughable as there’s a broad range of varying topics. Maybe you can appeal to Blizzard for an extra 20 subsections, good luck with that. How many of those bugs have been addressed/fixed by the way? I’d like and actual real number.
If this were in the bug report section and clear; I would help see if it could be duplicated.
This is something I’ve done before with the Assassin Wake of Fire Bug.
With the first post this looked like you did not know about item persist.
make a bug report thread in detail and we can work on it.
I’ve seen this many times. Kill something and an item starts flying out but then disappears and nothing is on the ground.
Btw your post is clear enough. Had no trouble understanding what you meant.

It’s happened to me as well seen armor drop and no where to be found I’ll try clicking around see if it picks up anything and post back here again if I pick anything up thx for the suggestion
