Inventory space/holy grail

Would be cool with an items collected list implemented into D2R. Where ppl could “store” one of each item. This would make it much easier for people to store items without instantly filling stash tabs aswell as making it easier for peoples “holy grail” hunts, as it would be an ingame function to check what items you have found so far. Any items deposited can be used by any of your characters, but only 1 “copy” at a time.

A filter list, while useful, probably won’t be included in the game anytime soon.

I’m not averse to seeing one… but I doubt it’s very high on the priority list with everything else going on at present.

I would hate this feature. also impossible to keep the game original, if this was implemented.

Don’t know what you’re on abpout, it is already impossible to keep the game “original” since teh original did not had shared storage or stash tabs or even a stash that big.

2 words, Pre Expansion if you dont want shared storage

They could keep pre-expansion as is.

That said if you want to play the real old Diablo 2, it is still available and playable.

Have you not noticed that the harem girls are missing? Or that cold immunity is broken? Or that we now have character limits? Or that we now have a larger stash with multiple tabs? And this is just in the new remaster.

Are you also unaware that putting a point into raise skeletons will no longer automatically give you a new skeleton. Or that they implemented runewords, new classes and an entire new act with the release of Lord of Destruction? And all of that stuff happened back during the original games release.

This game hasn’t been in its original state since shortly after launch. This is the same with most games now. Patching games with improvements is now possible even after you acquire the product.

People want to see the remaster have more quality of life improvements than three shared stash tabs and auto gold pickup, and arguably better graphics depending on the character in question.

I see no problem with them asking for improvements, especially when people who want a more ‘original’ experience can just click a button to exclude such improvements. Use that button and leave the improvements for the rest of us.

so there it is… 1 side who wants Originality, and the other who wants a completely different game like d3.

compromises where made.

however making new features breaks the game and creates bugs and other issues.

I played original D2 with PlugY for 20 years and it was the same game with more storage, more storage does not change the game, it is less boring than muling items and that’s it.

You can come down from your soapbox now.

Kinda like how making a remaster of a twenty year old game ‘broke’ the online feature? If they were scared of breaking the game, they wouldn’t have tried to remaster it. Just look at Warcraft 3 Reforged/Refunded.

I see resurrected as a starting point to continue post 1.10 the last major patch.

Quality of life changes do not change the game, it just makes it a less pain in the butt

Even if its only 1 of each item regardless of difficulty, so you could store say a kite shield, dragon shield, or monarch in that slot…

that would be huge qol. And having 3x shared storage already makes it less annoying. Anyone remember having to wait in a game 5 min then throwing everything on the ground and then quickly going to the other char to pick it up? I bet puritans love it that way as that was how it was in the old days.

Yeah I’m sure John Winthrop is super happy about this.

I completely agree, some kind of a Collector’s Book that shows every item you’ve got so far and the ones you’re still missing, that would be a fantastic thing to implement.

Sadly I don’t see that coming in the future.

But why? This game isn’t about hoarding and collecting all missing items.

Except, that if it was an ‘online’ feature, it would be mostly largely ‘cheated’, in the sense that people would still trade and ‘claim’ grail collected. I am not sure this is needed in game, but, could be neat, i suppose, but i wouldn’t trust a single person i didn’t already know to be dead honest. Same as offline, need anything be said about that?

However, i will admit, there IS players who have scruples, just not many.

Because collecting things is fun - I don’t even need it as an extended stash, simply a book that shows the items I’ve found so far and which items I’m missing.

I would also appreciate achievements, they’re so well implemented in D3, so satisfying to get them and to look at the list

That’s a good point yea, sadly people would ruin the “competitive” part again, but I wouldn’t mind about others, only my personal findings.

Well D3 is available, so are a plethora if other games that offer this. Maybe play them if that’s what you want. This is an issue you can fix all on your own.

Whatever dude.
