Interactable objects prevent Teleport usage when hovered over even when holding "show items" hotkey

Interactable objects (chests, rocks, coffins, jars, containers, etc.) prevent usage of Teleport when you hover over them.

Say you’re on a Sorceress and you’re holding down your Teleport hotkey. If your cursor hovers over an interactable while you’re teleporting you will stop teleporting until you take your cursor off the object.

This is problematic when you want to keep teleporting consistently, a sudden stop could mean you stop right in a pile of monsters and get attacked when you expected to keep teleporting.

In original D2 this could be circumvented by holding the “show items” hotkey while teleporting, but this workaround doesn’t work in D2R unfortunately.

Regardless of the “item label display” option chosen you will still stop teleporting when you hover over an object, even if you’re holding down the “display items” button. Quickcast being enabled or disabled makes no difference nor does the /nopickup command.

It would be nice if this behavior were rectified to be same as it were in original D2, it would make for much more consistent skill casting/movement in areas with lots of interactables like the Catacombs (coffins, chests), Lower Kurast (corpses, jars, racks, chests, stashes), Durance of Hate, etc.

Thank god someone else is finally posting about this. I’ve been telling them since launch and they just ignore me.

I’ve also noticed if you’re a hammerdin (needing to teleport right into a mob to attack) if your mercenary delivers the killing blow to the first/nearest monster, even if your mouse is not hovering on that monster, you will stop casting hammers and it can get you killed if you’re not immediately aware of it.

Things like this ruin the fluidity that came with the original game, and they are definitely bugs introduced in the remake. None of these things were an issue for 20 years.

I had this issue for ages and didn’t realise why. Usually when I tele over an area I’ve decimated and items get in the way.

I also note difficulty retrieving my body after death that I didn’t have in LOD.

Why did they introduce so many problems to this game?!

That definitely needs to be addressed.
BTW, i believe some other movement skills are affected as well, so it must be a global restriction.
