Instead of new runewords for 2.5… I’d gladly take Restrictions removal/tone down

For example:

Weapon runeword that require specific item class “sword”, “axe”, “mace”, etc

Would now be just 2 restrictions

  • all weapons
  • 2handers

This would open up so many new runewords without adding new ones

Also, applying this logic to crafting

No more specific item to create a crafted item

No more Hydraskull to craft a caster helm

You can now just use any headgear

Including class ones!

So people could try to craft blood barb helm, caster sorc orbs, safety necro heads, hit power Matriarchal spears, etc

Extra: this one is just fun to think about but most likely too much for community’s limits

But removing the “white item only” restriction on runeword creation

Allowing them to be created in magic/set/rare/Unique items

But with a penalty

Allow ruenwords to be made in all Item rarity but at a greatly reduced efficacy. White=100%,Magic/rare= 70%, Unique/set =50%(placeholder values). That way original runewords dont invalidate most magic/rare/unique/set items anymore, since instead of being put one against the other, they are synergizing from one another. This puts balance in the runeword dominated itemization

Those restrictions don’t bring much to the game more then just existing and limiting fun

Doing away with them would bring life into the game
