A3 merc with insight (unlocks a few new builds)
A5 merc with insight (unlocks so many new builds)
lite sorc with insight (unlocks new nova/lite sorc build with 200fcr no manapot needed)
A1 merc with insight … nothing.
Paladins use swords in the d2 fantasy (look at what he wields in the new character select screen), so it makes wayyyyy more sense for a paladin-based aura to be added to a sword instead of an amazon’s bow sigh…
No, but try putting an insight bow on your character, which deals more damage than a Polearm and watch builds come into being.

insight is better than faith on a bowazon? do you even know the important mods on the faith runeword?
no other class would utilize insight bow fully except an amazon, specifically a bowazon. even then other bows are way superior that insight on a bow is useless. maybe an iron golem but i dont even know how that works, let alone would be an insane dmg/utility boost compared to insight sword.
honestly its not bad for a bowzon either, its got some crazy good ED and not many people realize it has a bunch of good stats outside of just “meditation”
200-360% ED
massive AR bonus 18-250
deadly strike chance from critical strike ( althoguh this will be less sueful on a zon as they will have a hard point in it
23 mf
and becuase of the “tir” it even has mana after kill
and also FCR ( not sure what that does for a zon besides valk and slow missile cast but it has it XD)

Insight bow is a super budget friendly bow for bowzon
Best thing is you get a 270ed bow at level 27, that is nut
Also solve greatly on mana issue for many elental bowzon

that’s the point. it’s only used by one class+spec AND it will get tossed into the stash/trash after lvling in ladder. that’s it. nothing lol. bowazons are the worst to start with in ladder anyways so insight bow benefits no one except for single players.
Ya…throwing it on a sword won’t make much difference neither.
At least with bow even if I don’t use it it can be used on rogue merc
Even if I give you that it only helps bowazons, which it doesn’t. It’s main purpose is so that characters aren’t locked into using an Act 2 merc to be a good caster. While also giving classes the ability to wield the weapon themselves and go with a different merc. No one will run around with a polearm just for insight and the ability to use another merc with different runewords.
It’s a general buff to all the mercs for a caster because they know longer have to use just an Act 2 merc limited to that weapon alone.

ya helping many specs and classes is less than one class/spec. makes arithmetic sense
The only class that would be benefiting the most from insight on sword are sorc and pal, which is already overpowered to begin with.

I think they made it for bows so people can make an early game runeword for ladder. They didn’t intend for it to be better than faith of course. The mana regen is very useful for early builds that use elemental arrow skills. Just need a fast bow.
There’s already an insanely powerful and cheap caster sword runeword called Spirit, there’s no need for another insane, cheap caster runeword.

Just put it on a helm and be done with it I say, mana pots are over rated anyway.
It’s the Meditation aura that’s couseing this stupid arguement I guess.
Why do we need insight on everything lol? Why cant people play without constant mana regen?

It doesnt unlock anything.
What do you mean lol? Its good RW for act 1 merc.
No thanks, insight on the bow is a good step forward. If you disagree, go make a mod.

I see no problem with that
I think Insight in sword is like Spirit in sword - devalues all other early-mid item options.
I vote No.

insight does not devalue a +2 skill wep… it’s end-game (not early-mid) for lite sorc, a5 merc, and a3 merc.
how do you guys not see this… i really don’t wanna spell out everything. yes i agree insight adds a great low-budget bow for bowazons but that’s the devs fault for making terrible low-budget bow runewords in the first place. just fix the mods on those instead of adding another paladin-based passive onto a bow. makes legit no sense to the d2 fanatasy. might as well throw auras on daggers and javelins too just cuz it helps a few people instead of the majority.
