I am more than sure that this issue has been addressed already, but I’ve no idea why it hasn’t been corrected so far. Messaging is a basic of internet and yet it is barely working.
Anyone has any reason / answer for why the chat stops working eventually? The only way to fix this issue is to restart the game. So many players encounters this issue and yet almost a year gone since its release still haven’t been fixed.

Same problame. Don’t works the chat, lobby AND the TRADE CHAT!!!
Blizzard, please… in 2001 the Diablo 2 chat was perfect…and now… XD
Plus, really ONE YEAR HAS PASSED!!!
And don’t say “There isn’t problame like this” or “Just enable the chat”.
Pls… Fix it.
It seems likes it’s gotten worse lately… Happens on a regular basis now. Temporary solution to this problem is to use the whisper function instead.
Just so were on the same page here, issue is the in game chat doesn’t display anything at all neither written messages or join/leave messages. They will usually appear on the next game join.
