Does anyone have any tips in how to get the in game chat to work again? Does not work in Lobby or in game. Continues to tell me I’m not in that channel. I have toggled the online chat in the settings. Not sure what this could be. Thanks in advance.

also have this (or similar issue) - i can type in the chat bar but after hitting enter nothing happens and i cant see anyone else chatting either - only npc subtitles show.
online chat is enabled in the gameplay options (tried enabling/disabling/enabling) many times. Happens unpredictably- some games it works, others it doesnt
i can tell when its working because at least my own typed chat messages shows up, but when even my own messages dont show in the dialogue box (the chat history) and only npc chatter is there - its def not working
tried different chat channels/lobbies - i just try to keep to the “All” or “Game” channel and still nothing…very weird

No idea I disabled my online chat so I don’t have to see the spam from the spam bots
I got similar issue many time. In random games I couldn’t see my own sentenses. I could see teammate chats and npc warnings, etc but no my own texts.
Last friday I was playing with my friend and happent again but this time we were talking by voice chat in Discord and he said that was reading all my chats but I couldn’t see my own texts.
The only way to solve it was; close the game and open it again
in game chat is a disaster. make sure you’re in Resurrected graphics mode, hit enter and at the very top of the chat there’s a tiny little drop down arrow that allows you to join specific channels. you may be stuckin “Trade” chat or a whisper chat to a specific user. all of these trade channels are compartmentalized and need to be selected individually. you may be stuck in a whisper chat or a trade chat, try to click that tiny drop down arrow and choose “Lobby” or “Game” to get back to the correct chat
