Implement Quest Game Option

Instead of a “vote kick” “host kick” whatever function that can be abused, please consider implementing a Quest Game option on creation.

This will eliminate the MF characters who join an Act3 Questing game, kill Meph, and leave while you are still looking for the Spider Cavern…
It would work along the lines of, Quest function enabled, any player who joins the game and has the quest, cannot access any act past the game creator, including the quest boss, perhaps they can if partied up? Something along those lines…

If they want to MF in previous acts or areas, so be it, thats not going to impact the Quest team.

I have no idea what coding something like that would look like, but I can imagine it’s quite some work mostly to address the issue of players joining for the /player x experience online.
Perhaps forcing players who join into the party and can only join the area the host is in would be an idea.
If the host sucks, just leave and join another or make one of your own.

Just a thought.

Coding it isn’t hard, coding it for D2R probably hard, just due to age and what could break by consequence.

I don’t mind both ideas, a leader is the person who made the group, can kick or ban, at the end of games can choose next for auto game generation. Plus an option to block quest completion based on leader.

The trick with the second part is due you hard lock the acts and only allow the town to be visited past the leader including blocking doors. Even if they can’t complete the quest, they can ruin it.

I would prefer lobby/ai improvements more than the next season theme.
