Don’t care what you store.

I say yes to more stash space!

Always will.

I only have a few characters and my stash is overflowing with gems and runes.

10 Stashes in total would be a good addition and a stash for all gems/runes/keys… etc so you can just throw them all in there (stacked).

Wouldn’t really deter from gameplay or anything either as we had infinite mules in the past, so storage space (stash) shouldn’t even be an issue. Now if it’s the ā€œCharmā€ inventory, that’s a no for me dog, but stash? hell yes please, expand.

I know the feeling, my mains private stash tab is full up, all of the shared as well, and my mules are full as well. Been getting a lot of gems and runes lately.
So many gems and runes.
I really wish they were stackable.
That would free up so much space.

Just my opinion — Reading all the different arguments it seems to me to still support having more stash space/tabs. If we have more tabs to put ā€œShared Lootā€ in then it will reduce the number of characters people are creating as Mules. Limiting space isn’t changing how much stuff we hang on to, it’s causing us to have more characters than we are actually playing with. Although I enjoy the improvement in D2R with the tabs, it’s basically like only going half way making just a couple shared tabs that fill up too fast. D2 Legacy had mods for creating extra pages for storage, it would be nice to have the option for more storage space for those who desire it. Those minimalists that are apparently running naked through hell, what exactly are you doing in Diablo 2 if you’re not looking for and hoarding loot?

Crafting is expensive, so I collect every skull and gem and rune I find because I am constantly using them and not sure when I’m going to find another one. I personally also like to collect the set items, in 20 years I’ve never collected a lot of full sets, and it could be a long time of holding onto the gear before it’s complete. It’s part of the game and meant to be used and enjoyed, so your argument of ā€œhoarding garbageā€ is invalid, one man’s junk is another man’s treasure.

It is very frustrating, and I’m sure causing server issues with us disconnecting and reconnecting, trying to remember which of my 10 mules I put that 1 specific set on that I just found the last piece for. Now to remember which class I was going to use it with. Someone mentioned the ā€œ+ skillsā€ items etc. that are class specific. There’s no reason for my Paladin to hold all barbarian, assassin, and sorc items — but I plan on playing those classes as I like playing through Diablo and not just farm Baal 10,000 times like many other ā€œhardcoreā€ D2 players do. I know there’s many others in the same position.

Another point on ā€œhoarding junkā€ — At one point I had traded for over 40 Full Rej potions, why not! Had to sell a lot of really rare items I’d been holding on to and make more mules. When I did a few farming runs in Hell mode I went through those potions pretty quick, but still needed a place to put them temporarily. So had to create another 1-2 mules to hold my socketed items, runes, etc. I’m holding on to because again, you don’t find everything you need at once. You have to hang onto things until you can complete them, meaning we use our storage space to sit on items we won’t use for an extended period of time until we CAN use them.

Once I made my ā€œSpiritā€ and ā€œInsightā€ and found better items and made new ones, then I have friends or people who want to trade for those items so seems a waste to sell it for 5000 gold or drop it on the ground. I do clear out my stash even if I have good stuff, and if I have duplicates etc. I’ll sell or donate them, but like someone else mentioned, crafting with jewelry I would need a whole tab just to put in my crafting supplies. Not all players do that, but again, it’s a feature of the game so you can’t make an argument basically saying ā€œDon’t play the gameā€ as a solution. All the people arguing against it haven’t really made any valid points other than proving they are minimalists who don’t need stashes at all apparently. The whole point of the end game in Diablo is the keep looking for loot, and the purpose of loot isn’t to sell it to Charsi as we have a limited gold stash as well. I think it’s fair to have some kind of limit to storage, but let’s make more personal and shared space so people aren’t filling up Battle.net with 20 mule characters. It’s just a QOL upgrade that again was only done half way, I think those of us arguing for this just want Blizzard to go all the way.

Grim Dawn: 5 personal tabs, 5 shared tabs
Problem solved very easily

Clearly that wouldn’t be enough. Not even with stackables.

4 more stash tabs and stacking runes, stacking gems, stacking essences , and any other items like that. Obviously not potions because of how belts work. As far as personal inventory goes we need a charm inventory space - anyone who is against that is a complete tool we shouldn’t be collecting loot in our cube only.

got tired of the server issues and went to singleplayer, save editors and some fantastic mods work already for d2r so it didnt take too long before i sorta cloned my online character.

Don’t forget the infinite tabs mod.

The purists who argue against even changes like this used to use those mods.

I’m so sick of mules. so… very… sick… of mules.

As soon as there is a decent inventory mod for single player I’ll go offline forever.

I also think its crazy people are so conditioned these days to pay more money in a game they already bought. I remember when Bethesda came out with horse armor it was 1.99 and people lost their minds. How far we’ve come since then.

Do it the old fashioned way:

  1. Purchase extra versions of the game
  2. Purchase more computers and configure them to run up to, what, 20 mule accounts on each account?
  3. Create ā€˜parking’ games on the muled accounts and join those games with your prime
  4. Drop off your l00tz and cycle appropriate mules in and out to pick them up
  5. This way, you don’t have to worry about a game instance shutting down before you can log out of your prime, and back in with your mule. You also don’t have to worry about some donk stealing the HoZ you just dropped by your stash because its a private game.

Right. You could do that. Or we could just get more character slots and there we go. What do you think, should we do the 1 simple step, or do…all that you just laid out? The choice seems clear to me…

We need more tabs and more character slots. There is no reason why we still need mules for storage space in a remaster that boasted about its QoL improvements.

We actually need two more tabs; a currency tab (runes, gems, keys, etc.) and a unique/set tab. And maybe a few more for everything else. A pluggy kind QoL change would be awesome tho, at least for single player.

Give me a PoE style currency tab for gems and runes, give me a PoE style Unique/Set tab.

I’ll pay IRL money for them to help pay for their development, I don’t even care. However, I would prefer not the status quo 2 extra tabs, it’s just not enough. A way better solution than giving us additional character slots so we can sit waiting between character log ons and offs being frustrated while just trying to find which of the 5 unique mules your Magefist is on.

If gems, potions, runes, etc, all stacked that would save a lot of room but would also be more difficult and probably buggy from a development perspective.

A lot more shared tabs would make more sense to me.

Or they could just add more stash space. Problem solved.
