I'm done with this game till they add an easier way to respec

Being locked into a build and unable to experiment is not fun, no mater how hard the grognard community cries about such a potential change. Feeling like you have to spend endless hours researching every detail about the game before you’re even allowed to play is not fun. Not everyone has 20 hours a day to dedicate to a game looking up guides and re-leveling characters.

Bro, You get three free respecs… one from normal, nightmare and hell. If you can’t figure it out by then maybe this game really isn’t for you and leaving is the best option.

You can get through normal pretty easily just by taking skills that sound like they will work together well.

You can do a lot of stupid things and still get away with it until nightmare respec.

As max said, if you have not figured out what skills are good or not by then either the game is not for you or you should probably just spend a few minutes looking at a build guide.

It doesn’t take 20 hours to look at a final build and put points into things they did.

The game is 20 years old, how much time do you need to research on builds?

How hard is it to follow a guide and not make a mistake in following it? Rofl, wut?

K, bye. Been this way since probably before you were born. The game is not meant to hand you everything you want, which is part of the reason most of us like it.

Back in the olden days, there were no respecs. None.

Did anyone complain? No.

Why? Because the game is incredibly fun:)

You just ended this man’s whole career :exploding_head:

Many players complained vigorously in the old days. That is why respecs were added.

Back in my day there weren’t these fancy forums to complain about things and keep track of the naysayers. We complained to Blizzard employee in tickets. :cowboy_hat_face:

You might want to stick with Diablo 3. Seems like that game will be more enjoyable for you. The fun of Diablo 2 is that you create multiple different characters, who all specialize in something different. This what makes it fun and you might find cool loot on the way to leveling up a new character build. If you had unlimited respecs there would be no reason to ever create a second character of the same class you are playing. Diablo 2 is a fun game. It’s meant to be played.

You also don’t need the “ultimate build” to have fun. Just experiment and like people said, you have 3 respecs. It’s more than enough.

the game is like 20 years old, go to google and find out whats skills worth and what not, there is nothing to experiment unless you are extremly new to diablo 2 if that the case learn the hard way like everyone

Not sure if you responded to the wrong person, or are reading something completely wrong. I got not clue what you are going on about.

Making the additional respects only farmable in hell is a stupid idea. The very reason most people respec is because they are not doing well enough in hell to farm those bosses. It should be a farmable object in normal or nightmare.

If you tell me my only character needs to farm hell baal to respec then Ill just make another character. It would take less time and effort.

Strawmen arguments everywhere. “r u too dumb to follow a guide lol” No, re-read what I’m saying since that’s apparently difficult for you. You and that train of thought are the problem. People should be able to play the game and experiment for themselves without having to dump 100s of hours needlessly making and re-making characters or reading guides.

this is a resurrected game, not remastered. Go elsewhere dude.

First of all it doesn’t take long to level up a character, especially when you’re used to it and know how to do it fast.

Second, rerolling and planning your characters is part of the game. I’m pretty sure no one ever got their perfect build in their first character ever, it’s intended that way, that’s how the game is. This game is all about replay value.
