If you're listening Microsoft, D2:R would be a perfect testbed for AI anti-cheat

(I doubt they are, not anyone who can make it happen anyway… But what the hell, try anyway, right?)

I know Microsoft is heavily invested in AI, which could be adapted to serve as an effective cheating/botting/chatspam countermeasure for the game. Far too long has this game been plagued with botters, cheaters and RMT spam in general. Please Microsoft, take the necessary actions that Activision/Blizzard failed to do by stepping up to the plate and doing something to take care of this massive botting/cheating/chatspam problem.

Yeah, it’s going to cost money, but doing so will win over the hearts of legitimate players of this game, as well as helping to improve the rampant cheating problem that not only affects D2:R, but nearly every online game.

Let’s make it happen, Captain.

Then cheaters are gonna start employing AI to cheat and circumvent the AI anticheat

It’s a neverending arms race.

And yeah, Microsoft AI game is real. Copilot has been a life changer in my life (the github one for coding, not the one in win 11)

Aren’t the automated flagging systems already basically equivalent to AI though? “AI” as in a proc gen system, No true artificial intelligence exists yet, to my knowledge.

Yeah, I know.

However, the corporations with the money generally have the state of the art hardware and software to edge out the homebrew competition running on older hardware and not as developed software… Just gotta convince “the suits” that it’s worth the investment.

Invest more in the customer, and chances are more likely they will be a return customer.

Unless someone is enough of a madlad to use cloud services. Heck, use Azure. That would be poetic lol
