I don’t think that will happen as long as Teleport exist and is a Sorc base skill.
The only reason you need +Skills on the Auradin is to reach level 25 Conviction for the -150% Resist All and to hit level 4 Zeal with 1 hard point so that you have 5 hits.
Other than that, +Skills means nothing for your Aura damage. You’re maxed out at level 44 Holy Fire from HoJ/Dragonx2 and only hard points into synergies count, so you’re effectively seeing the near maximum potential of this P1 wonder. The only other upgrade would be a 3 5/5 fire facet socketed helm and I’m pretty sure Llama was using Flickering Flame, no?
I realize the sweaty PVP nerds are freaking out about this and so maybe they need to scale down this damage against other players in some way but for PVM, this 100% okay IMO. I play this build on live server and it is damn near as strong. The buff on PTS is just fine for me. I don’t think it even excels beyond P3 and certainly not at P8 to even the same degree as plenty of other builds.
We aren’t because you take 1/6 the damage in PvP and this aura will likely heal us. The new Flickering flame helm counters it as a stand alone.
What is worrisome is the Bone necro changes as they are top S tier and don’t need any buffs. On top of that their buffs don’t do anything for PvM. So it only ruins PvP which whether people want to admit it or not. PvP is essential for the game overall health and it’s economy. PvP greatly effects PvM so all balances should be considered for both.
I mean people keep trying to find ways to nerf enigma, now they find a build that doesn’t use it and it has to be nerfed? It takes like 7hrs and still doesn’t outperform a javazon in higher player counts. It’s a little braindead but so is most the game when you have the right gear.
Okay and let’s compare it to a geared lightning java or a hammerdin etc. Of course other melee builds need buffs as well.
You’re basically saying all melee skills should stay underpowered so one of them doesn’t feel better than the others. I’d rather see them all buffed so that they can actually compete with casters.
I disagree. I like the pace at which melee classes clear the game. I think it’s casters who are too good/fast and should be nerfed.
They’re not going to nerf existing builds though. Melee needs some love also.
Tell that to the shapechangers, who just had their entire skill tree gutted.
That was an unforseen side effect imo and they’re supposedly working to make it better. Terrible thing ATM though good thing it’s in the PTR.
Okay then. Buff all the monsters then, to indirectly nerf builds.

That “Unforseen side effect” was correctly predicted by experienced players the second they saw it in the patch notes. The devs have no idea what they are doing and it does not inspire trust in their ability to balance the game when they savagely nerf an already low tier class and then say “Try other weapons LOL”. Which is the only response they have so far given to the complaints.
which video? there’s several different videos been posted about auradins and the other builds on the PTR. the one i saw had a full inventory
either way, people are getting way too upset about this. the damage is NOT that insane. is it hilarious? yes. but it’s still a niche build, requiring niche gear that not everyone is going to get. it’s also the start of the PTR, and everything is going to get tuned through several patches and updates before the final build is settled on for live.
The entire community of like 7,000 people watching it happened almost unanimously agreed that it’s the only build in the history of the game that would ever belong in a TRIPLE S tier…so clearly you did not see it.
Maybe they have never played a geared Hammerdin or Javazon. You nerf this and dragon etc will go right back to never being built since the build excels at nothing except lazy farming. Would be nice if it was more interactive but then again none of the above are either.
Dbrunski did a video and I agree with him. It’s not even OP, especially in higher player counts. I think it’s in a good place now.
I agree, but truth is, that holy fire was strong for low levels and by boosting synergies they made it overpowered. I am fine with dragondin. What I think is to reduce synergies to 2.3 values and instead advance scaling on higher levels to be able to hit these numbers with higher level.

Holy Fire will never be viable without dual Dragon and HoJ if that is what we balance it for.
They absolutely got to delete the aura stacking bug and place the power on Holy Fire itself. If we don’t, the build will end up like a “3 piece set” from Diablo 3 that increases HF by 300%. It’s the exact same thing…
I am not sure that aura stacking bug exists at least in 2.3 i have dual dreams and it seems the damage difference between 1 piece and 2 pieces is around 2.5x as it should be between lvl 15 and 30. I do not see 5x increase…
