i finally got a Ber so i’m going to make chains of honor, but i need an Um. i have 2 ist, but need one for the runeword.

wat do?

what can i get for the full tal set? is it enough for a death’s fathom and a maras ammy?

Full tal set is around a Vex nowadays…enough for a high mara, but definitely not enough for death fathom…imho.

You should be able to trade an ist for 3 um.

i got it took care of. now i need to find a few more things to make it worth breaking the set bonuses on tal armor. i got a nightwing helm, although it’s a low one with only 9% cold skill damage, it’s still +2 to all skills. putting that and the chains of honor runeword on dropped my fire resist too low for hell mode though.

so i need a maras or some fire resist boots. i’m wearing waterwalk now, and magefist gloves. spirit monarch shield of course.

i’m also using a nagelring and a nature’s peace. i have no idea how much an SOJ costs in trade, or a bul-kathos

oh wait, i have all the runes for a HOTO except vex

i can get a Vex for full tal set?

i would take a low mara’s if theyr’e cheap enough, i don’t need a “perfect” one. my fire resist is -5% in hell mode

Did you do anya quests? that’s 10 res per difficulty. Also you can definitely get a vex for full tals. Low maras is around gul ist or so?

yeah i did all the quests on my sorc in all three difficulty modes.

Try Aldur’s Advance (Set Battle Boot; 40% frw + up to 50% fire resist) if you need fire resist from boots before securing a Mara’s.

Also see if you can get some cheap GCs with fire resist (up to 30% I believe).

^Yes. I forgot about aldur’s but that would be a good switch out from waterwalks.

What kind of sorc r you making? DF is for cold sorc. Hoto on the other hand is for lightning sorc I believe.

I have a low roll Death’s Fathom for you (18% Cold Dmg, 25% Fire Rest, 25% Lightning Res)
I can let that go for sth like 2 Ist or Ist + Mal for you

its a wanted item when its high roll and worths quite a bit, but this has the lowest resist rolls and 18% cold dmg out of 15-30 :slight_smile:

i can do ist + mal. with the tal’s set bonuses broken, the three to all skills is what i’m lookin for and the cold damage is just a bonus

yes! i’m now rockin a chains of honor archon plate. i’m actually kinda miffed i didn’t do more research and put the runeword in it when there are higher def bases with %ED already baked in, but as a sorc i guess it’s less of an issue since my defense isn’t going to be all that high anyway.
