1 bul khatos and rest was your regular raven, manald, nagel and dwarwen star😔 What are the odds of getting a soj when identifying rings dropped from 85 and above zones?
This is note a whine post, i am merely curious about the odds.

1 in 15 i think.
somewhere between 1 and infinite
rng works that way sometimes
“ somewhere between 1 and infinite

That is NOT how rng works…
It may take you many runs but the ODDS never change.
Furthermore, if there is a non zero chance for you to find something then using the word infinite is incorrect as well.
1 in 15 seems a bit low by the way I think more like 1 in 40.
rng is rng - it does not mean 1 in 40
Some may get 1 in 15
Some may get 1 in 100
Some may get 0 in ???x
All depends on the player, time invested, places invested. Etc
You saying 1-40 does not mean i have 100% chance to get 1 out of 40.
Your OP says you got 0 out of 120…
RNG means there is a fixed number of possible outcomes, and a fixed number of favourable outcomes.
The probability of something happening is number of favourable outcomes / number of possible outcomes.
1/40 chance does not mean 100% chance, but it means that it is MOST probable that you find it within 40 tries.
There is an equal chance on finding an soj for every unique ring you roll.
It also means that its incorrect to say it will take INFINITE tries.
There is a video with Dbrunski doing unique rings; however I forget which ilvl the rings were.
Maxroll has the precise odds for each unqiue ting type in a level 85 areas if you want to calculate it.
The odds are you’re not finding an SoJ homie.
Then when you do you poop yourself
I found perfect wisp and soj first season BEFORE any other uniq rings. how lucky was that? It’s just random.
I don’t know what is the thing with SoJs. It’s not even that high level ring, starts to drop in nm Act I, I believe. I have got one drop to me the whole time I’ve played D2R, and I’ve played a lot. Got even few BK rings but only one SoJ.
But then again, getting any unique ring to drop is not a daily occurrence.
The higher level area you are the lower the chance since more types of unique rings can drop. This of course maxes out at around whatever the highest level unique ring is. SOJ has a much lower chance to spawn compared to other rings.
That’s how it works I identified rings too. No soj
“Durr I identified a ring it wasn’t a soj therefore the odds of finding one is one in infinity durrr”
Farm in nightmare instead.
I am not farming specifically for a SoJ these are saved up rings from regular farming routes.
