Idea for Barbarians Howl Buff

Why should Warcry be the only war cry that can function as an actual attack?

Howls function, to cause enemies to flee, would fit well with a poison / life-draining type of damage (slowly losing life as the target flees). Think of it as they are being frightened to death.

I suggest that this should be the case; like a weaker version (to consider that the enemies are fleeing) of poison nova for Barbarians, with synergies providing sizeable buff to damage.

  • Natural Resistance + 15% Life Drain Per Level (Basic bonus for useful but not necessarily maxed skill - More functional than physical defense if using a nova-type, cast non-melee attack )
  • Battle Orders +5% Life Drain Per Level (Small (basically useless by itself) Bonus for necessary skill)

Let me get this straight: you want Barbarians to have a poison nova attack when the one Necromancers have doesn’t even work correctly?

Yes, but not necessarily poison. It could be a form of life drain that doesn’t have a resistance available; like an extra powerful open wounds.
