I always wanted this to save our characters “physically” and play them in offline version if for some reason, we haven’t access Internet or to save them like a Trophies.
Would be very cool add this option to the game before ladders starts. You choose a character from your Online list and appear a button"Download character", that create a character file of your online character and add him in your local save folder. That’s is all.

It takes 15 min to recreate your online char for offline play with hero editor.
Yeah, but if they can simplify it with a button a export the info from db to a .d2s/.d2x file, is a lot of work you save xD, also very useful and is a new add to the game.
If you have godly rare items to save, you have to make them mod by mod, and value by value. Uniques and rws are more fast because only have to change values.
So long as it cannot be reversed I suppose that would be okay. I mean, i’d never use it myself, but I suppose for those who would use it, it’d be cool, providing, again, that it cannot be reversed.
Yeah, the main idea is, copy your online character to offline, not deleting the online character (but if you want delete them after copy them, ok), only does a backup from the DB (exporting all matched with the ID character) to your HDD and to play with them in offline. My idea was save all characters at the end of each ladder to remember them or play with them sometimes.
