Idea about updates

D2r… cmon why tf is it so hard for you to give the people what they want??? Just wondering???

And dont say money is the issue because there are plenty of creative ways to come up with that

I mean i can only speak for my self. But the battle pass thing they do in the other diablo games could honestly be applied to d2r IMO.

Think about it. For all the ppl who wanna just play solo then go for it. Keep the game juat how it is .

But i mean ladder resets every few months. I know some ppl would not agree. But imagine chargjng a monthly fee. Or ladder battle box fee where we pay w/e (9.99) for the month or course of ladder. But with paying that we get new items. Patches. Maybe new places to farm. What ever.

And also this is copyin OSRS a little but they do polls when wanting to add and change things in the game. And well pretty much they do a poll to add or w/e then the ppl vote on it. Its a great way to make the majority of ppl happy.

Blizzard diablo 2 has been the best game for so many ppl. You beefed up the graphics. Now lets improve this game more and more slowly so it can be the best game for another 20 plus years

Money is the issue. Would you work for free?

If you want a game that gets regular updates, a game that you buy once is the wrong game to be looking for them. Subscription based games are where the regular updates are.

Also, if it really has been the best game, why change it?

They failed to implement the basic features from decades ago.
They skipped all QA in a mad rush to add BS that they knew would ruin the game.
They introduced new bugs and issues.
They lied and outright deleted multiplayer options.
They lied about modding.
They lied about staying true to the original.
They lied about bnet 2.0 and tools to combat cheats and spam.

Now, you want to pay them EXTRA when they still refuse to do the absolute bare minimum work that should have been done before release like making a functional chat for example?

I’d only pay for a battle-pass if it meant I got to use yours and other’s heads who suggest recurring fees for this abject failure as a piñata.

Because this isn’t a game their executives and shareholders care about… Follow the $$$, more people out there prefer gameplay from d3, immortal and d4 over d2/d2r.

Call it addiction, nostalgia or sickness… I simply think d2 is THE best action RPG (i have thousands of hours in d3 and d4 too but always go back to d2r).

And yes, I would pay for item filter, some mapping, some skill rework, some unique reworks etc… basically take the basics from pod or project diablo. Core game is soooo good that you can do so much with it.

They gave up on d2 unfortunately. I suppose because they don’t want to have a game series where 2 > 4.

NO! Absolutely not. I already paid for a game that says right on the box, free online play. D2R is the same game as D2 and is, in their own words, just a visual update to a 20+ year old game. Mind you, a 20+ year old game, still in use, and still has a huge following.

Money gained from company sales or even just franchised sales needs to be used on the company and/or franchise.

I won’t pay for it again and again. Your interest in giving away your money for no gain is your issue, not everyone else’s. Stop masquerading as a true players while advocating for the company you work for.

That’s nothing more than a money grab just like d4 is.

Stop trying to fleece people and if they are going to pay more money then offer them something they can use for their money. Not charging for a free to play game.

This whole fleecing, gouging, money grab thing needs to stop!!!

Offer a new storage tab for like $9.99 or something like that. Offer a new ExPack for like $29.99 … offer them something to buy.

Don’t just come out and say: "Hey we know you bought the game already and we know it says right on the box that there’s free online play … but we don’t care, we still want to charge ANYWAY for what you already paid for!!! "

Is as bad as auto industry where they put a radio in a car anyway, but want to charge you to use it AFTER you paid for the car, radio included. Stop the theft and be productive! Yes, we all know that microtheft is based on the premise that you can steal from people and make billions. “He” stole windows and got rich. But, does that mean we have to continue to tolerate it?

too late for that. out of the gate d4 was already worse. the itemization is so bad i don’t think it could ever be as good.
