IAS for summons?

  1. Does anyone have knowledge/a source on how IAS from fanaticism affects or doesn’t affect the wolf/bear summons? (Setting aside ravens, which I believe dont even proc auras).
I’ve read for other summons, like necro, that pets have a built in attack delay, meaning they dont benefit much from fanat. Is this the case with the druid summons as well?
Edit: I think this is on the amazon basin site under the grizzly skill.

  2. Summons attack rating? Is there a source on this? Would be nice to see what raven/wolves/bear AR is at different levels, to get a sense if they are hitting 70-80-90% of the time. I’d like to weigh increasing AR vs Damage vs IAS. (Yes I know spirit wolves and ravens dont benefit from +damage).
Edit: probably answered as well with same source as above.

Edit (still curious about this):
#3 I read somewhere that dru summons synergies benefit from “soft” points, not just hard points. Is this true?

Thanks!

Raven and vine should not be affected by fanat. The rest of the summons should see a multiplicative change on their frame data. There should be some sort of a wind up and some sort of an end lag. The best person to reach out to is Onderduiker on The Amazon Basin and I think he has a presence on the Diablo 2 wiki. I would test, but I’m sure someone else has already recorded footage of the frames for data.

The 2nd point, I’m not sure if there is an actual known rating for the summons, but once again, if anyone knows, it’s Onderduiker.

3rd point: seek Onderduiker.

3: The bonuses have been there since LoD release, before synergies have been introduced. They always worked like a mastery, benefiting from +skill. In exchange only one type at a time was allowed. With the introduction of synergies, druid summons stayed the same.

That’s how it was, but i have no idea if they have been changed to normal synergies with 2.4, especially with the change that all types are allowed the same time.

Hey, thanks for the replies everyone!

Regarding IAS, here’s what it says about grizzly summon:
“15 frame AI delay in all difficulty levels lengthens the interval between consecutive attacks.”

EIAS|Frames:
|0|12|
|9|11|
|19|10|
|31|9|

Assuming this hasn’t changed with the patch, for me this confirms IAS has an extremely diminished effect on druid summons. For example, at 0 IAS, the normal attacks are 12 frames + 15 frame AI delay = 27 frames. At 9 IAS, it would be 11 frames, plus 15 frame AI delay = 26 frames. So, a 3.7% improvement for 9 IAS from say, Beast runeword. If the AI delay DIDNT exist, it would be 12 frames to 11 frames for a 8.3% improvement, which might be worthwhile. But with AI delay, it seems like benefits from IAS are pretty small.

I ran a very informal test with a paladin friend, and we were getting more than 9IAS from fanat, and to my eye (which I know doesn’t mean much) I couldnt notice the attack speed improvement
