I wont buy D4 now

i agree that playing on bnet is better than never
but my history with diablo basically starts with modding and modding took a big hit with the removal of tcpip from d2r
this added to the fact that i problably wont ever have an offline mode (and modding) neither for d3 and d4 makes the franchise feel incomplete to my taste

mtx and itemization are the main factors for my decision on buying or not d4
and i have yet to see how these two are going to roll

if by…

… you mean the abuse culture and Kotick’s thing
i dont really care
i leave this up for the authorities

i dont like the wokerism in overwatch
i dont like how HS is basically a gacha
i dont like the mess they made with reforged
i dont like how crap d3 launched only to become decent years after
i dont like how RoS made more bad than good for the game
i dont like how DI didnt had a different monetization system for the occident

Loot 2.0 respects your time while D2 encourages group play. They want to appeal to the masses but just look at what D3 is, has no lasting appeal. No matter how many big stat items you add to a bad design it won’t make the game more enjoyable. Maybe thats the theme of these post Blizzard North endevors but honestly nothing half as good has come from the company as D2 LoD. Sure they will make their money by playing it safe but alienating the series true fans is a poor decision and I will not buy D4 under any circumstance if trading is not a part of the experience.

“Fool me once shame, shame on you. You fooled me can’t get fooled again”

President George W. Bush.

Nah, not exactly i know many many people who do not bot and they are dropping high runes. I am too. And people trade them. If you would remove bots , prices might just go up a little bit, thats all. You would still be making high end runewords.

Its still up and running. 65mil players blizzard even stated. Many popular games got no trade. Also d4 is not the same as d3. Just like d3 isnt the same as d2.

Some ppl play a unhealthy amount though. Just like in every other game. However obv the amount of HR on the market would be reduced. Just like the amount of walks.

there will be trade in D4

D3 didnt die

they dont

good job. Great explanation on why open unrestricted trading is bad for the game. I agree

D2R needs to remove trading and improve drop rates.
Also: D3 has better player retention than D2R I would bet.

What are you talking about? It’s still going way stronger than D2 and D2R ever have even after a decade and has way better player retention from my experience…?
Its sales and revenue also dwarfed that of D2 and D2R’s combined, it’s not even remotely close…?

The copium and denial.

How often do you bother with D3? Be honest.

It’s no problem to be honest, and it’s no secret most of us here are more fond of D2 than D3 BUT we have to be objective and fair. This elitism attitude is getting us nowhere it would just be us being delusional because objectively speaking: D3 did a lot of things right and is a better product than D2 ever been.

This is why we ask for changes and refining of D2, and yes I do believe open trading is very problematic. The drop rates speak for themselves and the existence of exploiters/abusers/RMTers/“Currency” traders is a byproduct of legit fair players’ frustration only.

1 HR per 250 Hell CS runs on average isn’t that rare. So people that play a lot and can block a few hours on the weekend, can find more than enough HRs.

It’s the uniques that are more elusive. CoA/Griffon/Nightwing, mostly due to the areas and mobs where they can be found.

I won’t buy D4 either. But not because of the lack of trade, but because they took a lot from D3 that I didn’t like into D4.

You could do 5000 Hell CS runs and never get a high Rune. Anyone who is legit fair and honest would confirm that easily. People who want to protect the “value” (wink wink wink wink  ) of Items though don’t share that honesty.

This shows that you never did those 5000 hell cs solo runs on any of your characters. It’s also technically possible that a person of your preferred gender shows up at your door steps and gives you 100 Million dollars and offers to marry you, but it’s very unlikely.

Ignorelist option for you is now extended, because all you do is troll.

So aggressive. Almost like your “profit” is on the line. Because ancient game’s items have “valueeeeeee”.

No trade? Awesome. instant buy for me.

Seriously, D2R desparately needs this.
Adjust drop rates accordingly then, for a 4 month Season.

Diablo 2 LoD is the only reason Diablo 3 sold as well as it did, come on!

Talk about bait n switch!

Yes, it was the most sold game to date upon release, but they did a tremendous disservice to longtime fans with that garbage.

Holy cherry picking batman, what about all the MMOs that fail? The field is littered with corpses. Nah, I think I’m still correct.

I get confused about these “high runes are not for casually players” (Continues to work full time job, finds high runes.) But I do agree trading is fun. Although come on guys. Have some damn patients.
Highrunes are supposed to drop every 1-3 weeks of casually playing: and no, crying on the forums about drop rates, does not count as farming XD.

Let D4 be D4. We got D2R. thats good enough. Thanks blizzard!

Usually what I take from that statement is that casual players are running around in terrible builds with even worse clearing speeds, and wonder why they can’t put together an Enigma like the big boys. So they get on the forums and complain about their mediocrity, which was excusable in the days before you could access a wealth of information on how to farm efficiently.

I played Path of Diablo for a little while in the past. The high rune drop rates are increased significantly. Ill admit it was pretty fun, and less tedious. (prefer lower rates for the record).
High runes were worth tokens, and I had every rune word in the game within a month or two. So my journey was over. So maybe a small increase would be acceptable, but would it really make a difference without hurting the longevity of the game?

Mods are great, and they help shake up the feel of the game. And that’s just what they are, mods, they should stay where they are and if people feel the need to experiment outside the bread and butter, mods are there for that. I like the drop and loot system how it is, it’s engaging and exciting.
