I want to ask Blizzard officials

Is it that difficult to make extra stash tabs for rune, gems, and charms and add them to the game? Add it to the game and sell it. We are willing to buy it. Please do not underestimate this comfort for this group of people who play this game regularly.

So Blizzard is a business, they have limited funds and limited number of developers so they must decide where their investment goes across many products, several of which don’t really make money. In what world could d2r potentially feed mouths over virtually any of their main & modern titles? The same time it would take to code out even just a currency tab would instead generate so much more money if that time was spent on wow, d4, immortal, wc3r, sc2, ow2, etc…

Blizz could introduce 10000 changes to d2r, they aren’t making any of that money back, don’t be naive.

Maybe you’re willing to buy it. D2 is not supposed to have too many stash space. We already got more than enough.
Just let the game be how it is.
Some people don’t want to get comforted, we want a challenge and need to make choices. There enough modern games out there that will pet the players all over, people who want to get fondled are wrong in D2.

Also, D2 shouldn’t turn into some BS liveservice :poop:

Many others and me are not willing to spend a single dime on this game. We bought it, we got content, live with it or play D3.

Then they should cut the game loose entirely, open source it and stop hosting it.

I mean, it’s just draining their preciously limited resources, right? Why even host it? Why even keep the servers running? Why even have the forums? Nuke it all and stop wasting a single cent on something that doesn’t bring them ANY money, comparative to thousands of other titles under their belt, right?

Right?

/sarcasm

Seriously, this is the worst take to have. Nobody’s paying you to damage control for a company worth more in today’s dollars than my entire family’s combined yearly take home. If he’s naive, you’re deluded. You bought into the corpo kool aid and drank it wholesale.

Then play the original. Nobody’s stopping you from toggling this stuff off, or ignoring it. Again, this is the worst take to have; if YOU want to “be limited” by inventory tetris, PRETEND the extra stuff ISN’T there.

By adding it in, people who AREN’T you can enjoy the game. By leaving it out, they CAN’T. And same as that guy above, nobody at Blizz HQ is paying you for this. YOU can choose to ignore QoL but NOBODY can ignore what ISN’T there to begin with.

The WORST take.

What you call “inventory tetris” is actually inventory management. Many games have that aspect. Stop hoarding and carefully keep what you really NEED. Devs wanted it to be this way, so it shall be.

However, give people what they want and they still want what they don’t have…

If you don’t enjoy the game I srsly wonder why you play it :man_shrugging:
Doesn’t seem to be your kind of game the way it is.

Unlimited stash isn’t QoL, it just takes away the aspect of INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, which btw is part of D2, always been part of D2 and actually D.

If you want to get comforted by a game, D2 isn’t your choice.

The people who love the game for what it is, actually want to get challenged. The’re games out there which don’t challenge you much. We chose D2 to have the challenging aspect.
Saying that you can limit yourself so some tryhards can have ALL the “QoL” and features is the WORST take.

Whenever D1R will be released, I can already see it comin that people wan’t stashes and whatnot lol

Strawman.
OP didn’t ask for that. Just “extra stash tabs for rune, gems, and charms and add them to the game”.
And neither did Dimlhugion.

I’m out again, not interested in another stash discussion. GL and HF all.

Don’t need extra stash tabs when they can take add Stacking which takes like 30min to implement

And that’s why stash space stayed the same as it was in D2, right? And why in D2R we don’t have extra tabs, right? And why Sundering charms were never added, right? And why new runewords were never added, right? And why skill synergies were never added, right? And why there has never been a single change or addition or removal or literally ANYTHING other than “what the devs want,” across the HISTORY of all D’s, right?

Because YOU know EXACTLY what the devs want, and they ONLY do what THEY want. Right?

Don’t make this about me. It’s about YOU. I play this game the way I want, single player offline with mods. YOU want EVERYONE who plays online, to play YOUR way. This is YOU. And you’re terribly bothered that someone who doesn’t like what you like, to the point you say they shouldn’t play the game. Because they’re not like YOU.

This is a YOU thing.

If you’d like, pretend your stash is only the size YOU think it should be.

If the stash were INFINITE, you could still only FORCE YOURSELF to use a FINITE portion of it.

You want EVERYONE to think YOUR way. That’s selfish and rude.

Again, you’re thinking YOU are the ONLY audience. You think YOU are the ONLY person this game should cater towards. Because YOU like being limited.

Which is why no mods ever existed, no QoL changes ever were celebrated, no hacks were ever made and NOBODY ever cries for Deckard Cain to get moved closer to Act 5 waypoint. Because EVERYONE thinks like YOU, in your little head.

Now you’re calling someone who wants QoL, a “tryhard?” I thought all you “rough and tough” folk who HATE coddling were the tryhards? Are you saying you AREN’T serious about this game? That you only hate it when people AREN’T like YOU?

Just stop with the nonsense. You have no reason at all to hate additional stash space.

It won’t hurt you. It won’t bother you. Unless you are personally offended by extra space, and you might want to explain why. Because it’s a weird phobia. “Oh, PLEASE don’t FORCE extra space on me! I want to MANAGE my INVENTORY! I can’t HANDLE it when I have to do something MYSELF! I need EVERYONE to be limited WITH me!”

Just stop.

This would be a good argument if we were talking about a small, starting out company that is trying to offer content for free, which is not what the op was arguing for.

no, because we got more items with the expansion, obviously…

Uhmm, they created the game as they want?

Where is this about me? You’re one of these people who want stuff that doesn’t belong to D2.

lol, again, just usin ur words, WORST take.

so you claim to know me, right? I was actually complaining many times about stuff like that… oh man, just ridiculous.
before they touch the game at all, they should take care of that stuff you just mentioned… why don’t u cry because of that? rather increase stash, right?

Please do so my friend.

You’re quoting THE diablo guy’s tweet where he called you and people who hate extra space out as grumpy old storage space misers. And you think that furthers your point?

Ridiculous.

you don’t even get it…

let’s agree that we don’t agree?^^

David Brevik was the head of development for the original game, he did something magical with the game to make it the way it is, to make it a game that some of us diehards still play today… He knew that having limited space made that space more precious. He knew that limited space would help us decide what items are worth keeping and what is junk.

Further altering of the game will do nothing but further tarnish the original developers vision of the game. Remaster or remake?

The first sensible thing said in the entire topic. Aye, I can get behind that.

first gownup thing you said, nothing sensible at all tho

Yes, yes, come on, let’s let TheDarkJedi get his last slap in, too. This is the INTERNET and someone said something WRONG/DISAGREEABLE and we can’t let it slide.

Remakester.

Ah, another one that is hypersensitive to when others opinions differ from theirs.

EDIT: I got you confused with that other guy.

2nd EDIT: Actually you know what, I revoke my first edit.

I still think you’re not posting in good faith.

I’ll solve that little problem for us both.
