D2 is harder than PoEā¦yes thatās why we like it. In PoE i ran past everything and it all just fell over for me. I like D2 because if I do that and Iām not capable of just bypassing it, things will swarm and kill you. So yes this is a different game, itās not PoE and you need to learn it the same way you did when you started PoE.
So your a Javalin Zon lvl 21 fighting Dury. To help you out, we will need some more info. What skills have you invested in? can you still respec in Act 1 or did you use it up? What merc are you using? What gear/armor etc do you have?
You also mentioned you lose your gear when you dieā¦it seems a SC player needs to explain that one to you. Iāll let someone else do that as when I die I lose everything, character and all.
Normal Dury does need a few ātripsā when you enter his zone, open a town portal so you can leave when you run out of potions and your merc dies. Head back to town, get your merc back and get more pots.

Try using charged strike.
You can switch the internet off and play in offline mode. Maybe keep your hacked copy in another directory too, and when you want to go online use the original directory.

Dude, Amazon itās one of the best char.
I play D2 when I was a kid, and I (and the rest of us) have no problem finish Normal and even Nightmare difficulty. Without youtube and various guides around.
Trust me, the game is not that difficult if u think about what you do and use the items that game gives to you, ESPECIALLY in NOrmal.
I can give you an advice, for Normal difficulty with Amazon, Fire+Exploding arrow works great.
Donāt follow endgame guides if u are only lev21 at A2 Normal. The video u look at, are people with endgame gear at level 80+ in Hell difficulty, donāt work with early char.
The problem with you new gamer are this, u follow guides step by step but donāt use enought your mind.

I bet most of the people on this thread would be happy to kill Normal Durry for you for free if you want the equivalent. You can also make a public game that says Act2 Duriel and people will join and help you.
Itās all a progression. In Diablo I when you died, all your gear splats on the ground for anyone to grab (no body at all) and there wsa no āaltā key to illuminate it! I have āfondā memories in middle school hovering my mouse every inch behind walls and things to try to get all my gear back. I still remember when one of my neighborhood friends was banging on another friendās window in the middle of the night so heād sign on and help him get his gear back 
For D2 you got a body you could just click. If itās too hard to get to your body, save and exit the game, and body is on the ground in town for you. You only actually āloseā gear if you fail to recover body while you have other gear on and end up with multiple bodies all with gear, then game chooses the body with highest gold value of equipment to keep for you.
In D3 you just get the dead screen and wait a few seconds where monsters canāt see you to reset. I donāt remember what PoE does, but since both PoE and D3 were made after D2 it makes sense theyād add QoL to death.
I personally always find messing around with hero editor online to get gear is a cool option to test things out before spending runes/time/skill points/whatever in online, but to me the fun is the hunt and playing online with others so I find if I cheat my way to the end gear, I get bored really fast.
If all you want is to run around slaughtering enemies without investing the time to level and gear out your character, by all means pop on single player, edit in a javazon based on d2.maxroll and go to town. You might find it gets old pretty fast though as D2 is from a time where there wasnāt really an āend gameā aside from grinding to 99, hunting down rare items, and PVP.
Maybe you donāt understand the cookie cutters too well or never played through the game. You should try watching speedrun videos on youtube on mrllamaSCās or Kanoās channel. As a long hard player to D2, even I learned a lot from them. They literally speedrun all 7 characters offline mode. You need to get used to exping by clearing minion mobs and the unique along with it. Just to get you quick level ups. It takes time but you will get used to it.

Lol the game has become so much easier.
Duriel isnāt that hard anymore.
Donāt know which build you have and which level you are, but step 1 would be get some cold resistance and swallow some thawing pots before going in.
Fill your inventory with health and mana pots and place a TP when inside the lair to retreat if it gets to hard so you can restock and get in again at full health or to reƫnter should you die.
Donāt face tank Duriel, hits to hard for most characters and if you had one of those you wouldnāt be here saying itās to hard.
If you really have troubles often doing a bit more leveling and getting a bit better gear helps, as does explaining your character, many people can help you understand what you need to do/change to kill duriel.
Iād say Duriel is the hardest boss in the game by far.

Wooo Hooo I did as suggested I made a open game and named it help kill fat loser boss and someone came and 1 shot the fat loser

Uhmā¦ A decent portion of Duriels damage is cold damage. He has the Holy Freeze aura, which adds cold damage. Donāt be so quick to Debbie Down it, as it is a solid strategy to get an edge for the battle against Duriel.
Each time you drink a thawing potion, it adds cold resists for 30 seconds, and the duration stacks. Drinking 6 thawing potions is like having a cold resist shrine.
The same goes for antidote potions and stamina potions.
You can also feed thawing and antidote potions to your merc which also stack, but it is a bit tedious.

I mean yeah, the game is very easy if you play with others. Theyāll just run you through the acts and you can get to farming gg items. I only go through the game myself very rarely as Iāve done so many times in my life ā But I would enjoy an official solo self found ladder. The main draw for me in D2 is farming items in early ladder and selling them to create wealth. I look at my FG on D2jsp as like a score. I never use it, I just hoard it.
Ok great I might try stacking potions maybe probably.
I bet I will still just create a lobby and ask someone to just kill boss in 1 second seems like a LOT more fun.
Thanks to learning this nice cheesy POE trick of just letting others carry me I can finally get back to playing D2 and enjoying the game.
