So I am lvl 71 and can do NM but when I go to hell I get dropped. I have a low budget gear same with merc all he has is a insight and tal helm. So my question is NM farming bosses worth my time?
Absolutely, start hitting those Nm andy meph countess over and over and over and over until you habe gear thats pullong your resists at least above 30 across the board, Save your 25+resist to cold fire light poison gcs and use them to supplement your build.
You said your merc has a yal head and an insight… Build em a treachery, build yourself an ancients pledge and spirit sword, then start working twards either a CtA or Hoto, or Hoto then CtA,

If so farm viper magi, and a wizard spike… Wizspike alone is 75 all resists and 50 fcr with mana per lvl it is highly underated and probably one of the best items in game for survivability, wiz spike and viper magi with ancients pledge or rhyme will habe you near 75 resist all in hell. Just takes time to farm it all up and its all atainable from Andy and meph in nm

absolutely nm mode is worth farming.
you can actually start with rune farming for some rather “budget-y” gear, so you can hold your own in the beginning of Hell.
depending on your class, there’s some great melee body armor uniques (duriel’s shell for example), que-hegan’s wisdom for caster types. Skullders cause need that mf.
then there’s the sought after class-only uniques, and those are mostly top tier, and do drop in nm, such as
- HoZ
- Occy
- homoculus
- jalals
- bartucs
- titans / lycanders
- arreats

well you are 71. too weak anyways. You should ask a friend to help you level up in cow farm hell. He gets better runes drops and you get free leveling. Do not waste your time listening to these other people. NM is a waste of time. The only run worth doing in NM is andariel just for that 1 SOJ. According to a youtube I saw, it took 2200 runs to get 3 SOJ.
Don’t listen to this clown, leveling up won’t get you anywhere without gear, I say grind nightmare, make yourself a treachery for your merc, mf an undead crown, and grind. Act 2 holy freeze nightmare. Play the game, no need to rush or you wouldn’t be needing help.
