I need advice on how to build a GG budget PvP build

I think my budget is somewhere around 10 Bers. I find PvM very boring so I kind of want to build a super sexy PvP build as my final build. But since I’m pretty poor, I need it to be budget friendly.

I have a few ideas and tried out a few things, but they’ve all been rather poorly executed. Like my pathetic wind druid, my pathetic cold sorc, my pathetic trapsin, my pathetic summomancer, etc. all can’t even compete in public games.

My main hammerdin is about as useful as my opponent not knowing how hammers work.

PvP and budget build is hard to combine. I might think of a smiter or immortal sorc, but maybe some of our PvP Vets can help you out.

"“Gg budget” is an oxymoron.

First of budget and pvp don’t exist.

Second 10Bers are not budget.

Third lmk what you wanna play before i can tell you what you can do (Because theres alot but like i can give you thousands of builds and u might find all of them boring really).

based off the 2.4 ptr update:

bone spirit necro is gg. was already s-tier dueler, gets 30% buff.

smiter/foh (vindicator pally) this build was winning pvp competitions before the FOH buff.

possibly windy druid.

es sorc but these get pricey compared to others listed.

other builds are more niche and probably too expensive.

The only build u cant play with 10bers is a chaos assa iirc.

add me Jaredk21#1150 i have 20 years experience in PVP even some Hardcore PVP, i also run a discord clan we can help you there. PVP will be much different in this new patch as well.

I think my main problem is that I’m not good at namelocking; especially when it comes to fighting people who are fast. But also, one thing I noticed is that for all the builds I’ve tried, they were excessively fragile and served more or less as glass cannons. My 4.5K HP wind druid was exactly that. He could kill but not before he dropped dead in most cases.

add me buddy be much easier to help you if you add me Jaredk21#1150 , i gotta head back to work here

K, I’ll do it tomorrow. I can’t login today. Thanks.

sounds good!

What did you put on the windy druid?

What were your breakpoints?

I didn’t worry about fhr or block, and focused on fcr. I hit the final fcr breakpoint and shoved in as many 20 LF sc in addition to a few skillers. I think I had lvl 44 nado or something like that. I even added an infinity merc but it was still no good.

I would definitely worry about FHR if you pvp.

Likely the most important stat you have in pvp.

Always worry about FHR breakpoints on a PvP char. Honestly, crappy JSP is a good place for finding PvP builds also. You don’t need an infinity Merc on a wind druid. For PvM use a reaper’s toll. For PvP, don’t use mercs. Prioritize hitting 163fcr on him and 99 fhr. Get elemental life grand charms instead of the infinity. Different setups are useful, like a good 5nado helm plus a 15dr double ber’d crown of ages etc if you can afford it. A life/res jewel’d suicide branch is the way to go also. Get life/res small charms too. (Can be Rand 19/10s etc if you can’t afford great ones)

But if I use 5nado helm or a CoA, then I’d have to give up my 165 FCR. Is it worth it? I feel like the 5nado helm is not worth the loss of tp speed and nado cast speed. I’d imagine a rock solid CoA might be worth the FCR lost though.

You need to get a 2druid/18+fcr amulet for the 163 breakpoint in order to use those.

50 sb
20 Trang gloves
20 arach
35 spirit monarch
18 ammy
20 rings (preferably 10fcr/str/life/res rings)

You can swap things out based on who you’re fighting. A wizzy is good for stack against sorcs along with hotspurs etc. Just always aim for 163/99 in general though. A windy is a very good PvP char when built and played correctly. Practice things like namelocking etc.

If you’re looking for a more tanky character a vindicator is the way to go though. He does smite +fist of heavens. I’ll see if I can find a good link.

Edit: here’s a link to the V/T mentioned above:

It’s not possible to hit 163+ fcr without 20 fcr helmet.

hoto (40) + spirit (35) + gloves (20) + arach (20) + amulet (20) = 135

So you need a total of 28+ fcr from the rest, but each ring only gives you 10%.

Using a wizspike with 5 nado helmet doesn’t make any sense.

Hoto + 2-20 circlet + bk/soj = 6 skills (4 to all, 2 to druid)
Wizspike + 5nado helmet + 2fcr rings = 5 skills (2 to all, 3 to ele)

I laid it out in the previous post. It is possible.

50 suicide branch wand+ 20 Trang gloves or mages + 20 arach + 20 total rings + 35 spirit +18 fcr amulet. You can use a hoto and caster circlet vs casters etc, but you’re gonna get wrecked by ww barbs etc if you can’t put on a CoA for DR and still hit 163.

If you don’t wanna take the advice, I’d suggest using a different character. My brother used to main a PvP druid for years haha.

You can look at something like that to see the different setups, ignore the bugged belt section.

Basically you’re going to want a combo of druid circlet/5nado/coa and a hoto/SB/wizzy based on what you’re fighting.

But here’s the thing. The suicide wand has 50% FCR, so you’d still need 2 FCR rings.

So that’s wand (1) + helmet (5) = 6
vs
Hoto (3) + circlet (2) + 1 bk/soj (1) = 6

I’m telling you, 5nado helmet makes no sense if you wanna hit 163 FCR.
