So, I just found a 3 skill GMB 4 os and made a nice insight on it.
I already have an eth great poleaxe with an act 2 merc.
I have yet to try the act 1 merc with insight. I was wondering, being a lightning sorc, what is better for me? Should I switch to act 1 merc and if so what element?
Try both out, it’s cheap to switch

So without conviction on your merc/sorc, as a lite build you will need your merc to kill lite immunes. I don’t think the a1 merc with insight is faster at killing that an eth polearm a2 merc, so you’ll run into some slowness vs lite immunities.
You’ll probably want to do cold merc for the freezing.
Test it out, you can always change the merc, just make sure you remove their gear first!!
tbh not a fan of a1 merc on sorc. they cant tank. gear and AI prevents that. and a sorc might want a merc that can tank

Ok, so tested 2 pit runs and 2 countess with cold act 1 merc. I have to say killing the lightning immune archers is a bit slower but, that freezing arrow is really nice. I am barely getting hit by the lightning immune archers now.
