I managed to hack myself into act V on classic D2R on singleplayer

Yeah it’s a dirty task involving both hero editors, and frankly it’s just hell lotta easier to just heroedit those sockets ( since You’d be using GGM heroeditor and ZoneFire’s v1.04 anyways to get in), but it’s possible…

if anyone’s interested runes are unobtainable… returning to quel khek after barb-rescue-mission crashes the game, returning to malah for the anya thawing potion crashes the game, in order to fix the crashes you have to mark the quests as completed in ZoneFire’s Heroeditor, after that you can hire barb mercs, and anya is in town and opens a portal you cannot enter… waypoints don’t work and neither does townportal, so sorc with teleport is a must… the maps are insanely large for some reason, and getting to frozen river from town and back is hefty 10 minutes of teleporting back and forth.

Larzuk quest is obtainable, and after killing shenk he offers to add sockets, I haven’t tested if he actually does add them…

the only reason for going into actV for semi-legit players would be to access area levels beyond 85. as classic actV maps have weird area levels set for worldstone keep and the throneroom, and its beyonf area level 85 in some cases it’s even above lvl 90 ( just check the game files and you’ll understand)…as I said this is only resurecting actV for classic function for single player, i know of no way how to heroedit save files on blizzard servers, so for now this remains just a fun gimmick…

if anyone is interested in how to pull this stunt on his existing D2R Classic singleplayer chracters let me know…
