Hello. The items I need to increase the damage of my sorceress, are those that increase +1 skill? I don’t understand what the attack rate is if it serves the character or not: C
Hello there,
Attack rating is the chance you have to hit a monster and been hit in return as well. I dont remember the exact formulation (I have two weeks since I returned to the game after 2012 ), but it takes into account yours and the monsters number to calculate the chances of you and it hitting each other.
Unless I am horribly mistaken, which I think I am not, it matters not for a caster at all, since the spells follow trajectories.
With my current (lvl 39) sorceress I didnt notice any change to her spell casting with attack rating changing, but it made a significant impact when using a bow (yes I used a bow up to act 4 as my main weapon). All in all attack rating is significant to the weapon wielding/hitting classes.
Hope that helps and someone might correct any mistakes I made.
EDIT: Regarding increasing spell damage: As far as I can tell/remember spell/skill levels are the only way to increase a sorceress damage + skill synergies.
For example: For every point in glacial spike you get a flat % as bonus to your blizzard.
In order to increase the damage of the Sorceress’s skills you need only +skills.
Attack Rating is only for when you try to hit the monster. Either with a melee weapon or a ranged weapon.
Fast cast rate will help for non cool down skills.
Sorc lightening and chain skill have different cast rate than the rest.
google “d2r sorc fcr break points”.
So 63 fcr is a break point 105 is the next so if you have over 63 but under 105 it’s not doing anything extra.
