I think it would be nice if, instead of being inflammatory, we could simply try to have a little empathy for the other players’ points of view.
For example, while I’m not against the changes, I am worried about the future of the game. I personally play summoner druid and think it really needs an improvement, but since it’s likely to massively change the character, chances are I’ll do a new one because that’ll no longer be the character I created. If it’s the only time there’s a massive change, that’ll be alright, but if there’s massive patch after massive patch, I’ll quickly be driven away from the game.
But I also understand that others need changes to have the game stay fresh, otherwise they’ll be driven away by a stale game, which is why I advocate for season-like content in the ladders, while attempting to stabilize base game.
I have to say with no real bullet points on what exact changes you hate the most followed by a description on how this is going to ruin the game….i consider this a troll post.
Yes it is perfect for us and thats why we don´t want it to be changed. Quite logical.
Yeah and thats why we get D Immortal and D4 and we already have D3 with those new recipies.
Like how Cola invented Cola Zero, Cola Lemon, Cherry and whatsoever.
And btw, the classic Coca Cola still sells better than all the others - how weird!
That is not logical. Purists are like blind fanboys: they like the game because they are so hard fans of that game that they dont see the game is totally outdated and not better as other argps.
D2 needs some patches, that is the ONLY objective opinion.
And they are.
Balance patches were always a thing in D2.
I don’t think patch 2.4 goes far enough.
I played this game for a very very very long time and always loved it but was always very happy if some major patches made the game like something new e.g. 1.10
If we have an evolving game, it is great because you always have incentive to play.
Introduce new items, new runes, new skill balances, new content. All great in my opinion.
Heck even implement a subscription if you need to make it a developing game.
The times changed and while is spent many years getting stuff in D2 LOD, it took me only a fraction of the time to get my fat runewords in D2R. Online play is basically dead because the mentality of the gamers just changed, especially how they access the game. (Discord, twitch etc. pp)
so you, make a button for classic LOD D2R and the rest just make it a developing game. Those who want to play single player (I mean Bnet currently is basically single player), it is still there for those people
I was doing sorc vs sorc gm duels today and my bro got a really sick chain lock on me like 3x in a row. He tagged me on the third so I tried running out of his fireballs and watched as my guy rubberbanded back in place for like 3 seconds until I died. I just sat there for a minute and we cried to each other about the removal of WSG. I don’t know if I will ever be able to explain to people who don’t pvp in 1.14 but there is a part of the game which is already ruined because of changes this team made. The devs either don’t know about pvp or they don’t care about it. Either way it is really hard for me to get excited about changes.
Instead of whinning everywhere on the forum about change you could actually give some feedback about something that could make sense to you … Could be something like 1: FHR above x % prevent stunlock 2: An item that prevent stun lock 3: Every caracter cannot be stunlocked more than once every x time… A fews idea i came up in like 30 seconds … Im sure you could find something that would fit your idea even more if you think about it…
ya we did that. blizzard has the feedback since beta and say not one word, even about the initial reason for fixing it.
