The ability to add drives to storage pools without data loss or having to recreate the pool has been around for quite some time.
Thereās also āhot dataā, which is stored in RAMā¦ Which also would have to be continuously upgraded or more server nodes added to avoid performance issues with more players online at the same time.
Having a hard cap keeps it from becoming a runaway problem. The āsoft capā of a 90 day inactivity timeout was easily bypassed with automation.

This! Obvioulsy its hard for some people to imagine, that you can actually have more than 20 playable builds/chars and NO MULES at all!! (I am sorry for all that meta sheeps that think there are only 3 builds) I for one have 19 playable chars all above lvl 85 and I am not willing to delete any of them. And lets be real its part of a lazy selling strategy from Blizz, just like Banwaves and putting the game on sale after thatā¦
