So i just talked to my boss and i have vacation for ladder, which makes me happy. I just hope something wont break as at release 
Anyway, i cant still decide if i should play softcore or hardcore. I would like to get back to pvp after many years of playing offline. But i enjoy playing Hardcore more so its tough to choose 
What do you prefer to play guys and why? Which game modes?
I play softcore because I’m a big chicken.

I got one of my employees to doo all the work i normaly doo, So i dont have to do anything other then play as much as i want for 8days…
Softcore, got some irl friends to play with me, they never played before. Should be fun.
Softcore and Hardcore feel totally different to me. For now I am sticking with Softcore come ladder, and leaving Hardcore as a more leisurely and slow paced break from ladder. I like the challenge of trying to beat Hell with a character with no trading.
Softcore is fast and fun, while hardcore is more slow and methodic (and fun), like Diablo 1.
I might request monday off, I know almost for certain Thursday and Friday will be almost unplayable
I had scheduled my vacation for March believing that the ladder would go up there and it didn’t 
I’ve never played hardcore online and I don’t intend to. Losing a lvl80+ char because of servers is a tremendous pain
I have always been a softcore fan, and will still continue to play it. To be honest I have never played hardcore in Diablo II because I don’t like to lose my whole character 
But will of course try it this time, but not at first when ladder finally comes out.
I don’t know what’s goin to happen if I play to much, but definitely happy about new content and rune words!
I like offline hardcore best, it’s super frustrating to lose progress due to connection or server issues.
Although it is tempting to take time off to play the new ladder on April 28, it is also a risk since we do not yet know precisely when ladder will launch right now and whether the start of ladder will be hiccup free.
When/if I play ladder, it would be softcore.

However, you know if something goes sideways at ladder start, there will be a ton of people upset saying that they used a vacation day from work and the subsequent vitriol.
Well even if diablo fails, you still have vacation so what is the issue? 
Its not like blizzard will take vacation from you.
True but people will be mad because they used vacation for a specific purpose and that purpose did not go as planned.
I have even witnessed someone say that since D2R ladder was delayed that they would not be able to play ladder how they wanted for the next 18 years.
Yes this happened to me. Usually on my vacations I usually travel. This was the first time i booked a computer game vacation and I was pretty frustrated. I booked it earlier this year because I really thought it would actually be out by the end of March. well that didn’t happen
Congrats on the time off man looking forward as well. Playing softcore ladder for this season just incase there are connection problems that result in hardcore deaths.
