Hustle is kind of flawed

Playing a bowazon, I have been using hustle for a while now. As a 2 minute buff, it becomes rather irritating, that one has to do a 5% proc every time. It’s actually straight up stupid.

The buff is there, it’s level 1, it does what it says. The idea that it should also be “difficult” to proc, probably comes from some assesment of the runes value.

A barb or someone with cta renews every 2 minutes. Try and think why, you would make it a 5% chance to renew, and what that would do to your game.

Pretty much this, for a Ko rune with all its other mods, it’s actually not bad for its price if you use it straight up.

The PTR version had level 9 burst of speed, but I brought a lot of attention to that and subsequently it got changed down to level 1 BoS, level 1 fanaticism.

Yes, but the item is now a staple in the build, like cta for a hammerdin. I don’t have a problem with the level or effect, it works. But the 5% to proc, means having to proc a 5% every 2 minutes, think about that, it’s aggravating.

And there is no reason to, 15% or 100% to proc, is the same, you proc it and it gives its level 1 burst of speed, and you continue on your game.

Hello Felix,

I disagree with you, this runeword is the best weapon swap for end game multishot bowazon at the moment. You just need to put one point in strafe, as from multishot only the central two arrows can proc, while every strafe arrow can proc. With maximum 2-3 strafe shots it procs right away every time.

Hustle proc performance

Not only it gives you significant extra running speed, it also lowers the IAS speed requirement for 7FPS with Faith GMB from 95 to 45, which gives you more flexibility in regard of gear options.

Why do you say with maximum 2-3 strafe shots, when I play the game and know that is not the case. How many strafe shots do you fire, there’s a 5% chance per each, do the math. How often will the darn thing refuse to proc? Too often, with a 2 minute timer. It’s a short buff, it constantly needs to be renewed. If the chances were 15-20%, it would always proc, but with 5% it sometimes won’t. And it’s annoying and there isn’t any need to make it a low proc.

And I am not debating if it’s the best offhand for a multibuild, it is the only viable offhand now. We need demon limb to solve our AR, we need tele staff to get to chaos sanctuary before game is over, and now we also need a third offhand, and we need all 3 to be endgame viable. Once again they solved a problem and made playing the bowazon even more tedious and obnoxious. 3 different offhands, 2 in the cube and one that is annoying some more.

And discussing hustle. Do the devs even understand the game. When they put 60 faster run, they “solved a problem”. But they also made faster run/walk on charms moot and obsolete. This was one of the things we were collecting, and trading, and loved to build, and now they are worthless.

It’s not as if 20 faster run/walk would have been bad, as it stops really adding any speed. But with 20 run/walk you could still add more run/walk and see an improvement.

Once again they just dump a truckload of “the good stuff” on the game, and making it a much worse game. Cheap armor with way more run/walk than the most expensive, not worth adding anymore at all. Annihilus is made the trash item of the game, overpowered skills that completely destroy multiplayer are introoduced. When these boys are done “having fun”, they’ll laugh and leave, and the game will be over, noone playing.

It’s Blizzard, they have no idea who is making good games, and they think it’s the frat boys, but these guys are idiots. I’ll give Blizzard some help, it’s the boring grownup, full of common sense. He rarely decides to play with the kids, but when he does he makes an awesome game. Case in point, Deep Rock Galactic, and Everspace 2. Both made fun by guys you wouldn’t think were the ones that made fun games.

Depending on you IAS, if there are enough targets or you have high enough points in the skill. Strafe fires 10 shots in 1.2 to 2 seconds. With a 5% chance that means you need to make 20 shots to proc it mathematically. So even you roll bad strafe should proc it every 5 to 8 seconds consistently.

That’s wrong math my dude. Chances are something like 35.8% of it not proccing in 20 shots. 7.7% of the time it still hasn’t procced after 50 shots.

The key to procing burst of speed is having enough IAS on your other gear (very easy) and getting a large enough mob in front of you to strafe against.

Use a high % pierce to your advantage here for each arrow to hit multiple targets.

Having said that, for non-telebowas, I still recommend going with harmony as a weapon swap option. Excellent running speed and doesn’t require time to prebuff like hustle does. Obviously you lose the EIAS, but if you’re using a faith GMB, then it’s largely a non-issue.

Faith bow never needed to be fixed with hustle. For everything else, you’ll need a hustle bow, and a hustle armor, unless you go with treachery, which I don’t think anyone should. Noone needs a harmony bow with hustle armor.

I know you can get some good DPS and maintain good FRW with dual hustle, but losing BoS straight after killing the last enemy in the group, or refreshing BoS more often than once every 2 minutes to avoid that from happening feels bad. Hustle needs a large group of enemies to reliably proc BoS with one strafe volley.

Going with hustle armour over fortitude loses some survivability which otherwise needs to be made up for with charms.

I always get it to proc in 1 or 2 strafe execution… Doesn’t take long. For the rune value it does it’s job.

During ladder start on a good base it can carry you through hell on p1

Hey, might be a stupid question, but how does hustle lower the ias needed from 95 to 45? Isn’t BoS lvl 1 only 21ias?

hustle was lvl 9 BoS. thankfully they nerfed it to remove all the prebuff stupidy

now you owe me big time.

So after the nerf it is better to usa cta on swap or?

hustle is a decent armor, nothing else.
