Hundreds of Spam Games

Imagine reporting spam games for 11 days in a row. E l e v e n. And what happens? MORE appear, not less:

And now idiots are getting scammed by the spam games:

It literally blows. my. mind. that devs PURPOSELY do not add chat and game filters. You do it on purpose. Why? I have no idea. You can still ban your spam bots so they re-buy the game and rinse and repeat. You’re still getting your precious profit. But, if we had the ability to filter out wildcard keywords, like P2PAH or .COM or d2Bits from the chat text or the game list… we would be golden.

But literally why on Earth would you EVER do something so simple and logical?

This company is such utter trash the last 10 years. It’s sad.

Combatting the problem requires manhours. Manhours cost money. Bobby Koticks megamillion bonus relies partly on not spending money wherever possible… Until this problem becomes an issue that causes the game to be less profitable, (which it isn’t already) then nothing will be done about it. And I don’t see Bobby Kotick being generous enough to appropriate the needed funding, aka bleed some of his bonus to help combat the problem.

Money talks. Sad but true.

RMT/botters and Blizzard are in a blind symbiotic relationship… RMT botters keep the game profitable in Blizzards eyes by running the bots to acquire the items to sell, then they get banned during banwaves, then they rebuy the game to do it all over again… It’s a rinse and repeat business that happens to be profitable for both parties.

The root of the problem is of course the credit card warriors who don’t want to spend the time needed to farm the items they so desperately want.

Oh I know. Facts. Sad facts. I just needed to post and whine about it myself, just to feel .5% better. I know it is UTTERLY pointless though.

I’ll just infinitely bump or re-post this over and over and over until someone at Blizzard acknowledges it.

Hey those bots are busy are work these days I can’t decide if I want to buy a coffee or an enigma today hmmm…

Not sure what you’re talking about?

I think it was an attempt to convey how cheap it is for people to acquire an Enigma. So, either spend hundreds of hours grinding for valuables, and spend even more time peddling trades to get Enigma… Or just spend two minutes, swipe that plastic and get what you want NOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!! … For the price of a cup of coffee.

My Paladin just found a fortune cookie. It said to read John 14:15~16. Stay thirsty my friends.

I mean I could by a toy car, or I could put together a model of a toy car, or I could pay someone else to do it.

At the end of the day all that matters is, do you enjoy putting together model cars?

As the way it was in chatrooms before, you could have a locally stored ignore list that did NOT interfere with bnet nor used any server space [yeah the devs screwed us good on that one with nothing but lies in defense] that way would not see the spambots.

I am quite sure something similar could be done with game names in the join list so you would not be subjected to it.

However both kot and the current trash dev team would not make money. They totally embrace spam and say screw you to the players.

The same way the took away tcp/ip and tried to lie their way out of that as well.

Until they fire ol’ crooked dummy and get rid of the trash in the dev room, nothing will change to benefit the actual player character, only bots!

So good luck and dream on, what tools we once had have been stripped from us with lies and deceit and replaced with bot-friendly software. Should not be blizz north, should be Bot North!

It really is absolutely absurd and mind-boggling to see 90% of games being spam shop games. Blizzard truly sucks. Why not at least add ability to do filters for people? Simply add a text field where we can drop a bunch of regular expressions and allow the community to tweak it. How hard is that???
