So i am currently running single player and would like to get some advice on HR farming.
What areas are best, What player level is best for farming said areas and overall whats been working best for ya’ll.
rune farming in general is totally unpredictable.
my advise would be to just play the game at your pace and enjoy the items you find.
if you try hard find runes and farm one specific area you will maybe lose the motivation.
in general there is no linear dropping of runes regarding the timeline. the randomcalculator gets fed with some variables and there are timeframes where many runes drop in a short periode. some other parameter maybe influences the quality of the rune.
so to farm best runes, you need a char who can provide a very fast clearspeed, or who has a very high efficience.
in singleplay you can reroll your map and try to get a Hell- lower kurast wp with 2 fires- who have 4 superchests who can drop runes. you farm them on palyers8.
or you could build a travincial running barb with itemcry to loot corpses.
or you can run cows, or the secondlast wp in act2. some aoe chars like javazone or lightning sorc will do well.
after 500? 600? Hours, 0 HR for me, why do i bother

I’ve had incredible luck finding runes apparently compared to most. It is incredibly random but the best thing you can do is increase you drop rate whether it be player count or map. If I had advice, I’d say go for numbers in the map before changing player count. Hell cow, lower kurast, arcane sanctuary, chaos sanctuary, tamoe highlands “the pit”, bloody runs or crystalline passage. Best places for me personally is hell cow, lower kurast and chaos sanctuary. I’ll find them in cow level with player3/ chaos sanctuary in player1 and 3 and lower kurast player7. Remember that not only do kills in numbers count toward your efforts but the same as stashes, baskets, barrels, body’s and Sarcophagus’. For that reason lower kurast is one of the best places. Tones of lootable bodies, baskets, stashes and chests plus armour stands. Plus there is super chest which have a slightly higher chance of dropping mid and high runes. I can tell you I have found tons of miss and the only 3 high runes I haven’t found atleast 1 of is ohm, jah and Zod. I have more than enough to upgrade to get them if I want though. Also mf has nothing to do with finding runes, however I’ve had better luck finding runes with around 300 to 350 mf over having less mf/non or having more. Give it a try, and best of luck to you.

Found a Sur in arcane sanctuary and a Jah off the council in trav, ive been running all areas at player 7 setting and my clear speeds are decent i feel running any lower player levels aren’t worth it but that may just be a mental thing.
This week running LK only for 2 hours each day, and only playing 5 days I found 2 ohm, 2 gul, 2 um, and 3 pul. Not to bad but I need jah ber or zod 
I don’t think jah or zod drop in lower kurast
Not even from a superchest? Oh well even if I get more runes I can just keep upping them. I already have 2 Sur to make a ber and enough Lo’s to replace the Surs. But then in the end of that tale I will have 1 jah. Hahaha Ill just keep plugging away.

From super chests runes up to ber drop.
This is one reason people enjoy travincal over LK on bnet. I think council drops up to Cham and is pretty much a static map. I wouldn’t run LK on bnet its best for SP
the rune drop depends on zone iLVL , by exemple zod will only drop in act5 and up ( lvl 81 + cow , pit , ancients etc ) ber and Lo best chance are in act2 arcane
I might move on to act 2 after I hit lvl 92 right away. I found my Cham in hell cow, a vex in CS and found everything up to sur in lower kurast including a few more vex. I’ve actually found 4 Lo in LK. Last night I was on a roll round for round I got a rune. First a pul, then an um, then an ohm, then another um and then another vex. 5 runs in a row.

Kill many monster as possible. I found my last one in WSK and @Andariel. So just grind or trade GG items for runes.
