Happens to me from time to time.Im trying to run through my pits and someone comes in just to talk to me.No offense but if I want to talk to you Ill message you lol.I cant even tell who it was.Im about to remove everyone from my list.I was creating the random hell games instead of making my own.But its simpler just having it make the games.Ive never just randomly invaded a friends game without asking.
Its a diablo 3 thing. I removed all my friends for that same reason. Its awkward I removed my IRL friend he hasnt said anything about it lol
In the game creation section of the lobby, there is a checkbox for “Friends list joining”.
There’s also a gear below “Play” on the main menu, which has the same option.

what about for auto creating games? cause I use that 99% of the time
I believe the options in the gear below “Play” applies to quick play games.

If they can’t understand that then remove them from your friends list.
How is this even an issue? Use the English language to explain yourself. If you can’t handle yourself in social situations maybe you shouldn’t add friends.

These people use the forums lol, they see it.It wasnt even about them just wanting to talk it was about random people on the list just going into my games when Im pit farming.My pit runs take less then a minute and I work all the time.So if I dont want to sit there and chit chat, sorry but they are going to just have to deal with it.If they cant accept I dont want to to sit there and chit chat while Im trying to do something you are gone and they have been wiped from my list.Simple as that.As for telling them I dont feel like talking I do, I say Im busy pit running,actually this post came when I said the same thing and they just said w/e and left.Its not like I want them to take it personal but if they do…well sorry I guess.I have hordes of friends outside this game,I dont need this game as a social backbone to my daily life like some people do.Im not talking about you or anything but I see it a lot on here.People make this there only form of socialization,I dont lol.Harsh,mean,rude Ill admit it sort of it all of it in a way.I guess I can apologize for letting myself feel that way but I cant help it.Theres only 1 forum user on here I dont like and its not SalveWarsong.Hes fine Ive dealt with him before in good back and forth posts.But look at all posts between people.It goes both ways between people and opinions.
As Dark Jedi said, you can control that from the options. Disable any sort of quick join or friends list join. You can also set yourself to “appear offline” in the Bnet launcher so it may make it so friends don’t see you. Not sure if that carries into the actual game or not though. It varies between games.

Just make games in Lobby and uncheck option that allows them to join.
