I hear comparisons of obsession with spirit, but I hear nobody speak of the difficulty it is to find a 6 socket staff with all those mods. I play alot, good ones are just as rare as other class specifics. This item is end game and expensive. ppl will still play the spirit game. so dont worry. I like this runeword btw. why not?
That’s because everyone and their mother is probably running around at any given point with 300-500% MF and that’s going to monkey wrench your whole operation. So yeah, I bet it’s rare.

How often do you find eth sacred targes with 40+ res for Exile?
Endgame runewords require endgame bases. They’ll be available to the power traders. For everyone else there is Hoto + Spirit.

No, im saying that ppl are assuming this new obsession item is easy to acquire from what Im reading. And they are forgetting about needing a good base to have a good one. and some complaining really dont need it. why complain about this runeword?

Be happy if you can get one with 1, +3 mod to Mastery.
At least they will be collectable, worth keeping to trade.
A 6os Archon with 3 Lightning Mastery will be worth a HR easy. It has to be either 0 socket or 6.

I’ve already found several bases for obsesssion they won’t be that hard to find. They can be 6os or plain, eth or non eth. Theres 3 different types of staff archon, rune, and war staff. Use socket q to get 6os. I’ve found 1 with 3 blizz 1 teleport, 1 with 3 lightning mastery 2 lightning bolt, and 1 with 3 hydra 1 chilling armor. Not the greatest ever but still not bad. Take off your mf and run cows/chaos.

I’m guessing not knowing the percentages to roll with any number of sockets from 0-6 that maybe zero sockets might be just as rare as finding one with 6?
Let me know, because while the 0s requires one extra step, it still might be relatively rare, even if slightly less so than the 6s.
Personally, Id want a staff with plus to 2 different skill trees as well. Alot of people like the duel sorc.
Only need to find the right +skills, getting 6os via quest

Only 3 staves can get 6 sockets - War Staff, Rune Staff and Archon Staff.
You also want +3 skill and +3 to coresponding mastery, which makes it even rarer.
So if you happen to rng such a weapon just sell it and be happy with hoto+spirit or whatever.

As long as its the right Ilvl, it will roll 6. No percentage to deal with.

Ok, So I have a six socket war staff but its only plus 1 enchant and no other mods. Is there a way to re-roll this item? I have tried the cube with 3 perfect gems and it didnt do anything. I tried another recipe of the staff, one jewel, tir and a p amythest.
