How much is a yard?

Depends on what neighborhood it’s in, and how big it is.
Some yards can be incredibly expensive.
And others can be quite cheap.

Thank you for posting this so I didn’t have to. :joy:

Also, from https://diablo.fandom.com/wiki/Yards

While based on the real unit of measurement of three feet or 91.44cm, the in-game distance is 48 pixels wide by 24 pixels high.

The visible area on your screen depends on whether you use the 640x480 or 800x600 resolution. The status bar on the bottom of the screen conceals 48 pixels, or two yards.

Resolution Width Height
640x480 131/3 yards 18 yards
800x600 162/3 yards 23 yards

For a visual representation, take a look at decrepify which has a static radius of 4 yards.

https://www.theamazonbasin.com/wiki/index.php/Decrepify

Cast decrepify yourself with a necro as that will always be 4 yards radius regardless of level.

as you can see everyone are giving me explanation for the original game… we are obviously not playing in 800x600 anymore…

I don’t know, but here’s a good way to get an idea:

Make a necromancer. I forget what the first curse is, but it has a radius on it that is pretty low. Cast that on a pack of fallen and you can estimate from there. Wish I could help more

way more than d3 … 9 yards is like an entire screem + here

its like an inch in d3

i know with 8 yards i was almost offscreening using inferno
