I’m looking for a sur and I was curious on the pricing.
Bcs the current price check website says 5-6 ists but I’ve seen trades go for wayy more than that.
You can search this forum but last perso. Posted 13 ISTs for a Sur and I didn’t see anyone sell to him or maybe just not Sur available right now
I’ve seen Surs go for even Lo+ 2-3 Ists. Not sure why though…
Just as what ive predicted a week ago, Sur will soon be around Lo Vex and Lo ohm in the near future. The price for surs are surging
Now 1 surs = 14 Ists… Today i traded 1 Sur for 1 Lo 3 Ists… So yeah its around there
Tbh Sur have always been a solid rune . The fact that it was lower than Lo in the first place make 0 sense . I guess it’s just all about demand and supply considering high demand in key farming which lead to Grief and Fort for Ubering

Ik we shouldn’t take things at cube value, but still technically it’s still half a ber, so it should be considered a solid rune.
Also I’m ubering with a kicksin and I’m super happy with it without grief or forti. Guess I never got into the LO hype lol, but it makes sense
Under no conditions would Sur be only worth 5 to 6 ist since having 2 of them would cube to a Ber (implying Ber being only worth 10 to 12 ist). 5 to 6 Ists sounds more like what Ohm or maybe even Zod is worth but in no way would Sur only be worth that price.
Exactly. That’s what shocked me too. I mean SUR is half a ber after all.
The only way that price check website could even be remotely correct is if in the present marketplace, everyone had hundreds of high runes so nobody needed to buy any of them. It would literally be just “I need lower runes to pay for pgems so I want to break down Sur but the buyer already has a hundred Sur and Ber and doesn’t want to give up his Ists”.
As for the OPs initial question, I purchased yesterday a Sur for 13 Ists but the price seems to be rising lately with everyone’s desire/wealth now reaching for end-game rune words (driving demand for Ber to new levels).
The value of Lo will never drop below 12 Ists because the value of Ohm will never drop below 6 Ists because the value of Vex will never drop below 3 Ists because Gul will never drop to 1 Ist in value.
The only way for Sur to outpace Lo in value is for the value of Ber to increase relative to Ists. Bers were trading at 22-24 Ists a few weeks ago. Lately, Bers trade for closer to 26-28 Ists. The value of Sur is tied directly to the value of Ber much like Ist->Gul->Vex->Ohm->Lo because of the direct cube relationship.
There’s a break between the cube relationship of Lo to Sur because no one wants to cube Lo’s to make Surs. While Surs have little utility in the way of powerful rune words, Lo has very high utility when it comes to useful rune words. Hence the odd relation that has always existed since D2 Classic where Lo and Sur have relatively close value despite Lo being the lower cube rune.
Sur’s value is entirely dependent on what Ber is trading at relative to Ists. That is the primary factor that anchors the value of Sur and that is the determining factor as to Lo - Sur trade ratio. Ber value would need to surge beyond 30 Ists for Sur to far outpace Lo in value.
