How does the item generation actually work?

I am doing the grail list thing to keep me occupied (only 29 items left, tyraels is among them so i guess i am not even half way through).

Now to the question. If a diadem drops is there an equal chance for it to be either mavinas or griffon? Or is one item weighted more than the other and making it more common? I have found 7 mavinas diadems now and zero griffons. I guess my question boils down to have i actually been close to finding griffons or is mavina weighted more so it should be more common?

Sets have usualy lower quality level than uniques and sets also drops more frequently than uniques.

If roll on uniq fails, it rolls on set quality, if it fails, it rolls on rare…

Check my guide, it can help

PureDiablo is the successor site to dii.net, yes.

Unfortunately a lot of awesome stuff that was on the dii.net Single Player Forum didn’t get archived to PureDiablo, hopefully it goes back up cause it’d suck to lose that vast wealth of knowledge.
