How do I uninstall the PTR version?

It appears that Blizzard removed the PTR option from the battlenet app, but there are still 27 GB of files on my harddrive, how do I uninstall it properly? I tried to uninstall it from control panel, but there’s an error popping up and the uninstallation won’t start. Am I the only one having this problem?

Search for the folder and delete manualy?

With the Windows “Programs & Features” toopl , you can uninstall the PTR.

If the PTR doesn’t show up there, see post above.

The Diablo II Resurrected PTR folder will be in the same location as your current install retail installation folder. To uninstall the PTR, just delete the PTR folder itself and empty the recycle bin. Make sure you are deleting the PTR folder and not the live (retail) folder or you will be in for a very large download again.

The good news when it comes to deleting the folder itself is that your preferences will remain intact should you ever install a future PTR for D2R.

Special note: Do not use any external software listed in this thread. Just manually delete the folder yourself. It’s literally a simple two step process once you have found the folder. You can find the install directory by using Windows Search or opening the Battle.net desktop app (the launcher, et al), going into Settings > Downloads and looking at the Default Game Install Directory entry at the top of the window. That will be where your PTR folder lives.
