How do I determine my main character damamge?

I can see my mercenarie’s damage but how to I do my own?
There doesn’t seem to be anything to display this. When I go to character is my general stats such as dexterity ect. I want to know my actual damage comparison between different weapons.
Thanks.

next to strength are numbers based on the 2 skills you have equipped you can use them to get an idea of what is higher but don’t take the numbers as true damage you will generally not do the same damage as the numbers you see there.

First you need to check if you equipped an skill/normal atk, them check the value on character sheet. Keep in mind that elemental and physical damage are stacked together and if you have poison damage the damage can be really misleading. My advice is for you to remove any charm or elemental damage from other items to do the math.

Each weapon has their own attack speed and each class has breakpoints. I would suggest d2 planner or aspd calc for better understanding of those breakpoints. If you want some advanced stats.

If you want purely compare 2 weapons there’s a button to compare the raw weapons. If you have some passives you just multiply the value from your weapon and the base damage.

what is d2 planner. Is there some sort of online calculation sheet you can use?

Is website: https://d2.maxroll.gg/d2planner/ , use it on PC because the mobile version is really bad.
That you could simulate a bit your gear and your character. You can custom similar perks as your the current one. On D3 planner you could import your online character to simulate, D2 doesn’t have any that kind of feature yet.

You could create gear on there that could be similar as yours (just focus ony dmg and aspd for compare those items) should be enough to you gauge the breakpoints and gains about swapping between 2 weapons.

Other than that you could go on:
http://classic.battle.net/ and check the aspd from each weapon and use other sources websites to learn more about breakpoints. Also both websites contains informations about runewords, cube recipes and stuff like that.

There are other sources like icyveins and calculators.

You can find several options at your disposal, try it out most of the websites and use it for help you to planner a bit more your characters and decisions. On d2 planner you could save templates and help you to keep tracking your character, but without “any link” like d3 had you couldn’t keep that profile updated if you don’t do it manually.

thanks for your help
