personally i think its going to take out 75% of the population at least for a few days.

Diablo 2 survived Diablo 3, and many many other game releases… I’m sure it will survive Diablo 4 and beyond. Those that do run off and play D4… They’ll probably be back eventually after they have their fill.

A week or two. That’s about it.
The question is where the fallout will go. PoE or D2R. Surely they won’t be going to Lost Ark.

I suppose there are people that only play one game at a time, and assume that others do the same. While there is certainly nothing wrong with full devotion to one game at any given time, not everyone games that way. Hell I still bust out the SNES and play games on it from time to time. Not nearly as much as I did back in my SNES heyday.

I can’t believe they copied dumb elements from lost ark into d4. I found nothing about that game fun.

I went back to gauntlet during d4 closed. It was more exciting.
d2r is dead now. I can’t even find someone with deaths gloves and sash to trade for a gul rune.
What’s funny is that there are 1000s in game that can do this. They either don’t want to take the time, or don’t look at your trade. I really wish they had a bartering area that worked.

Nah I’m pretty sure the games dead.
there will be less players of course. LOD near the end of its life span was peaking 20k concurrent players on ladder during reset day on east, which was the most populous realm for western players. if you adjust your expectations to a a less populous game, game will still be active and fun. just wont have AAA activity

Probably plenty of players giving D4 a try. I don’t think D2 or D2r are killable by a new Diablo game.
D2r nowadays is such a niche game, that it is only played by hardcore D2r fans anyways. The biggest drop in D2r came after peopel who did not play D2 before or not in a long time, decided to quite the game after a few months, to avoid death by boredom.
D2r is not a game that is appealing to a wide audience, therefore not much to lose by D4 quite frankly.
I can honestly agree with that. I don’t even want to be in the same game as a mosaic assassin. Gives me a headache. Doesn’t stop me from playing solo, but yeah it cemented my SSF choice.

If a Mosaic sin comes into a game, will leave already lost one video card to it.

i just leave because they are annoying to play with. have to turn sound off and close my eyes… or just follow them around 2 screen behind… and i’m not a leecher. lol.
What kind of weak a** card did you have?..
I can run with multiple mosaic sin without a problem on a SD…
honestly it seems with d2:r. the better the card, the more problems it can have. they probably had a 30 or 40 series. that’s my guess.
