How can I get a better amulet to craft a caster amulet?

I’m trying to craft an FCR amulet with some +skills for my bone necro. I know the recipe is amulet+Ral+Pamethyst+jewel…and I know that the amulet needs to be a high level magic amulet to have a chance to get +skills. I did it tonight with 2 amulets that I got in Chaos Sanctuary on Hell difficulty, but both turned out with no +skills. When I looked online I found a reference saying that the ilvl needs to be over 90…and Chaos is a lvl 85 zone.

Am I misunderstanding something? How can I get a magic amulet over 90? And can I find them in Chaos Sanctuary? I’m fine with trying for more if it’s just a matter of luck, but I don’t want to be wasting every Ral rune I have if this can’t happen.

My necro is level 82 if it matters any. Thank you!

Your character level ideally is 92 for crafting. Or 90 as suggested

Yeah and keep in mind you’ll probably have to roll a lot. This is why people used to bulk trade for massive amounts of junk jewels, p gems, low runes.

easiest way to get high ilvl rings/ammys is to raise your char level high enough to craft the desired prefix/suffix and just gamble jewelry, the gambled jewelry should be ilvl+4 to your char level.
