I used the staff, got into Duriel’s tomb but got killed. I have used the staff already, so how can I get back to try and kill Duriel?
Look at the quest again for the tomb and run back there. It will remain unlocked.
New games will switch up the tomb, you will need to clear it again but it will be open.

A helpful piece of advice is to go to Lysander and buy 4-6 thawing potions. Drink them all before entering chamber. It’ll help from getting you insta killed. Otherwise, grind out a couple of levels, farm for some better drops, and try again. I’m unsure of the monster levels in Ancient’s Tunnels for Normal, but maybe try to grind there for an hour to see if you can pick up some loot upgrades. Ancient Tunnels are in the trap door in the Lost City.

Np, and it depends on class for how to kill duriel but anything to slow it down, chug potions on your merc to hold him, and bail into a tp with a good distance from duriel when you need to regroup. If you don’t give some distance duriel will pop you immediately coming back in.
Sometimes if I’m stubborn and too weak it will take many trips back in but eventually the battle ends.
In d2 lod you can upgrade the staff with normal weapon upgrade recipe. It turns the staff into a hand axe with all of the attributes. Good times.
