I choose the original game mode when I started d2r and now I can’t figure out how to add sockets to items as their are no runes. Does anyone know what the cube recipes were before the expansion? In act 2 the one guy said 6 gems? Is that universal for all items? Thank you!
Classic has no runes or runewords. You can convert to it on the character select screen.
I think the only classic cube recipe for sockets is the one to add a socket to a rare item. And it takes an SoJ. You are out of luck there mang
Or reroll modifiers on magic and rares, wasnt it 6 perfect skulls? Remember a time they were worth alot.

So I cannot add a socket to my “vicious” cross bow? I’ve tried 3 regular gems and it did not work, so they need to be the same type of gem? Or do they need to be perfect gems or something? That’s all I reallly wanna do lol
