Question for those folks who play online;
Can you verify if it’s still possible to pass an empty Horadric Cube to a player who has not obtained one yet?
well, you can drop them on the ground… .and anyone can pick it up… not sure if you can trade them.
Yep, I’ve passed a cube and the act 3 Flail to my newbies many times. The Flail is the ultimate newb weapon. I’ve never tried to give one the flail, staff and amulet though… hmmnn… brb

If you do not have a cube they can drop off the council in travincal.
Not anymore and I wish the travs cube were still around for my cube disappeared 3 times now 
They dropped one for me a few days ago.
Strange I had tried earlier this month and got nothing…
I believe it drops regardless of whether you have completed the quest or if you are doing it for the first time.
The dude that holds the Flail does a loot check and if the game detects that you dont have the cube it will drop as a part of his loot table.
Yea I used to do it all the time in D2. I lost my cube to the cubebug, maybe the game thought I had it still or the boss died next to a pillar maybe. I concluded D2R had changed it, guess I was wrong. My Bad!
Hey it might be bugged. I havent tried dropping my cube, logging off, and then tested if can get the cube off the dude in trav
i’d be curious if others have not gotten cubes to. I know I’ve read before about people not getting a cube from trav when they lost theirs. But idk if it was glitch or what since others say they have. I don’t remember this being an issue in the old game.
Im not keen to try on my fav characters but i might try it on my barb. He is act3 normal atm
I had given a cube to one of my mules (from my main character).
I thought I just could pick up another one by just going to Trav or Halls of the Dead, but wasn’t the case. Tried several times in various difficulties. I had completed all quests with this char on all difficulties, maybe that was the problem.
Ended up asking a friend to spend 5 minutes and rush my mule to act 2.
I’ve read about missing cubes (by server crashes) and the people had no trouble picking up another one.

Just as an addition I tried to get the cube twice from council and once it didn’t drop, I went to the halls and grabbed it like normal.
