If you have a high refresh rate monitor, and you’re experiencing computer shut downs or power cycling, you’re going to have to turn off v-sync and manually limit your frame rate to something lower. The game does not give a ****, and will run your GPU into the ground at high frame rates, to the point that it activates the OS fail safe shut down because your GPU is running past the max temp allowed to operate. I have a 144hz monitor, and I limited my frame rate to 100fps, and it no longer shuts down my PC after 5 minutes. Until the devs get their **** together and stop trying to utilize the GPU to 110% capacity, this seems to be the only fix, at least for me.
EDIT: Nevermind, despite capping the frame rate, my GPU usage still skyrocketed, my temps went past 87C and shut down my computer. This has to be addressed immediately, otherwise you might brick peoples computers. It seems like every time you launch the game a second time, it causes this.

I have the same problem with a 4k monitor (144hz), had to set the scaling to 50%, and set the max fps to 60 (there are 2 sliders), now I can play, before it was shutting down the whole computer when loading the level, it’s some madness! (I turn off freesync too)
I have the same problem but I found a solution, looks like the game is GPU Intensive so if you don’t have a good cooling solution your GPU might get really hot.
I just installed MSI After Burner, set my fan to max @ 83c and set auto by temp limit instead of power limit. and that’s it, my vcard no longer gets hotter than 82c just because after burner downclocks to stabilize temp.
Working like a charm. GL
capping frame rate and checking vertical sync seems to have fixed my issues.
my issue was random crashing. I wasnt getting system restarting.
gpu utilization was like max almost and temp of my card was up.
Vsync took care of the utilization issue.
probably 60 fps is good for most people out there.
I set mine to 120 and everything up on very high.
I do have a beast of a system though so I wanted to see if this would work.
if it didn’t I would have gone with 60 and the other settings on high instead.
also checked firmware and vbios update for my card.
ever since I did all this no more crashing (knock on wood)
